Any thoughts on daypacks with hydration systems
I'm going to upgrade from my 25 yr. old basic daypack in the very near future and I have seen where some current models can use a hydration bladder. I can see where this would handy and a potential improvement from my nalgene liter bottles stuffed inside the pack. Has anyone experiences any...- DRS

This one wasn’t as easy as the last one
Went out again yesterday afternoon even though a cold front was blowing through and the wind was really up. Where I hunt is a mixture of ag fields and woods. I thought turkeys might be hanging out on the field edges along the down wind side of the woods. Right off saw a hen and then about a 1/2...- DRS

Got a pretty good one on a rainy NC opening morning
Knew generally where some would be roosting last night and got this one to gobble off the corner of a field right after fly down about 200 yds away. After calling a few more times over about 10 min I got he and a buddy to work on in to my decoys. Spurs are about 1.5”, beard is about 10.5” and...- DRS

Tips for a new turkey hunter
First thing I can think of is try to make sure you're hunting in an area where there are turkeys. I haven't hunted turkeys in Wyo, but did in Colo. when I lived there. One of the biggest challenges was just finding an area with a huntable population.- DRS

Eastern North Carolina public bear
Pretty limited public DIY opportunities in this part of NC. I just got out of a club in Washington Co. (one of the better eastern NC counties for bear) where I never saw a bear while stand hunting timber company land in 5 seasons. The adjoining dog hunting club normally killed 10-15 a season.- DRS

Lead shot in Black Bear meat
OK, the reason I asked is because a few years ago my wife and I heard a presentation by the USFW supervisor at Pocosin refuge where she stated that they used birdshot to run the bears away from their baited traps around Pungo lake where they were catching waterfowl for tagging.- DRS

I have neither a drill press or a work bench with vice and very limited mechanical skills. Is there anybody that is selling breech plugs like this or that I could pay to do it to the one I have on my original version Accura?- DRS

Barrel Cleaning procedures
What methods do folks use to clean their rifle chambers and does it matter if you do it before or after you clean the barrel? -
