I wrapped up my spring season in NC this afternoon. I was on my way in to do some cold calling near a roost area along a swamp when I happened to see this gobbler and hen in a field before they saw me and I was able to work around and get a shot. Another "is this bullet good enough for that?" thread.....
I have not tried a 140 grn Hornady in my 270s yet, but I have been using both 130 grn and 150 grn Hornadys in my 270s since the 1970s. I have killed many deer, pronghorn, and elk with them. Never once has one of those bullets failed to do what it's supposed to do. -

Browning X Bolt
I bought a stainless stalker in 2018 when they were still making it in 300 H&H. I have been very pleased with it so far. I’ve killed 7 bucks and a bull elk with it so far. I wish I would have gone ahead and bought another one in .270 before firearms got so scarce. -

Best 30 caliber bullet for a grizzly?
I don’t have personal experience but I do know my Dad got good results using 200 grain Partitions in his 300 H&H on his Alaskan brown bear hunt.- DRS

Accubonds and Whitetail
I've killed 6 whitetail bucks in since 2018 with 180 Accubonds in my 300 H&H at distances from 50 yds. to 400 yds. All short blood trails or DRT. They seem to work very well.- DRS

I’ve had mine since 2018. No complaints with stock. I have a few other rifles but it seems whenever I have the Browning with me animals end up dead. -
