I hope you heal up quickly. About 25 years ago a bumble bee flew into my mouth while I was doing about 20 mph on my road bike across the dam at Cherry Creek Reservoir in Denver. That was eventful.
It could be worse. You could be like me and have to go through that every 3 to 5 years because of family history and having polyps. My 4th one is scheduled in Sept.
Get as big a capacity safe as you can afford. As stated above, you will need more space than you think you will. I have been satisfied with my Liberty safe
The one difference I noticed about the boxes was one said American owned and operated and the other doesn't. I don't know if that makes any difference or not.
I think a 223 could be effective for doe pronghorns. The only potential question I could see would be the amount of wind drift that the relatively light bullets could experience in the sometimes very windy conditions encountered when hunting pronghorn.
I have been using one for 5 years in my safe in an uncontrolled environment in my garage in the often humid conditions in eastern NC. So far I seen no issues with the conditions of my firearms.
I've been using the Browning 3" 7&9 12 gauge shells in my 870 and 11-87 for a couple of years now. I just use a cheap Primos Tightwad choke I got on sale for less than $20. Very effective.
