He may be on the track, if there were more than just a few elk in the northwestern areas you might see less in-state folks traveling to hunt. Maybe its just me but Lincoln County should still be crawling with elk with the available elk habitat.
The prop slip ratio is tremendous if you are turning a 14p prop at 5500 rpm at 18mph. Something is up with the prop the speedo, or the tach or some combination
I am doing the same on my tracker 165 with a Garmin exhomap 93s. Works pretty good and way cheaper than adding a second unit. The boat is small enough I can still drop on fish and see my bait on the unit even standing at the bow...
Congrats on the tag, I have no experience with Kentucky elk other than several failed attempts to draw, so im no help. I'd spend as much time as I could in your unit prior to the hunt and really swing for the fence come opening day. This is the tag of a lifetime. Enjoy it, wear the soles off...
Guess my best outfitter experience was meeting one who wasn't a complete asshat. Cant say as much for the others. Never hired one so maybe thats the cause for my sentiments.
