I used to shoot GT Hunter XTs but just got some Easton 6.5s and I don't think I'll be buying GT again. Broadheads are like bullets, buy the best you can afford. Copper or Lead (Poll)
My accubonds work to well to give them up for my centerfire rifles. I am thinking of switching to copper for my muzzleloader though because of the known issues with lead.- lpshunter29

What's your favorite duck?
I'm an odd ball but I love me a drake gaddy. I find them beautiful and the 5th best tasting animal I've had (cow, antelope, wild turkey, and pheasant beat it by a hair). I know a guy who likes spoonies. The hospital said that wasn't a legitimate mental illness.- lpshunter29

Why do people pick 30-06? It works but, based on what I've seen, it's objectively worse than any other caliber in terms of energy, ballistics and recoil combined. Deer rifles for young hunters
Not knowing your grandchildrens' ages or physical condition I'd say .308, 7mm-08, or .25-06. At 11 I started with a .243 and quickly moved to a .270. I'd say that was a bit much then, but 5 years, 100lbs, and a muzzleloader later it's almost indistinguishable from a .22, which may be something...- lpshunter29

Round balls in an inline
Exactly. I know people enjoy load development with sabot and conical rounds but perhaps since round balls are a bit different people don't really work on it, just assume it doesn't work.- lpshunter29

Colorado 191 Deer
For those who may be reading this in the future: The hunt is very fun. A lot more work than I thought it would be but I loved every minute save for when my boots tore open right after a snow storm so my feet got wet and proceeded not to see a deer all day.
