    Pittman-Robertson Unconstitutional?

Though I hope every person, sportsman or not, would see it reasonable, I think you raise a good point. I think it's a lesser of evils thing. I'd rather it be a voluntary tax then having to account for it through other taxes. And I think the cause is important. Plus, a large portion of those who...

    Rangefinder suggestion

I second this. The one time it failed me was 30 yards off through sage brush, user error.

You have the right to a firearm damnit!

    1st time Arrow selection help.

I used to shoot GT Hunter XTs but just got some Easton 6.5s and I don't think I'll be buying GT again. Broadheads are like bullets, buy the best you can afford. For the love of God, don't get mechanicals. You can make a case for them on whitetails but they have no business hitting an elk...

    Copper or Lead (Poll)

My accubonds work to well to give them up for my centerfire rifles. I am thinking of switching to copper for my muzzleloader though because of the known issues with lead.

    Good Luck. Bad Luck

That stinks. Something similar happened with my muzzleloader.

    What's your favorite duck?

I'm an odd ball but I love me a drake gaddy. I find them beautiful and the 5th best tasting animal I've had (cow, antelope, wild turkey, and pheasant beat it by a hair). I know a guy who likes spoonies. The hospital said that wasn't a legitimate mental illness.

    Poll: Do-it-all freezer fillin' rifle

Yes that's certainly the best argument for it and it certainly works fine in most cases. Thanks for not mentioning a particular truck brand. I don't know what kind of hell storm that would have caused!

    Poll: Do-it-all freezer fillin' rifle

That's certainly the best argument I've ever heard for it! Perhaps it's my .270 that makes me feel obligated to argue against it.

    Weird Stalks

Sounds fun. Never done a two person stalk but it sounds plenty fun!

Maybe she's just becoming a doggy druggy?

    Poll: Do-it-all freezer fillin' rifle

Maybe, but with so many superior options it seems a bit dated.

    Poll: Do-it-all freezer fillin' rifle

Why do people pick 30-06? It works but, based on what I've seen, it's objectively worse than any other caliber in terms of energy, ballistics and recoil combined. Anyway, I picked 300WM because you can pretty much kill anything in NA with it. Is it the best for everything? No, but it works. 308...

    Deer rifles for young hunters

Not knowing your grandchildrens' ages or physical condition I'd say .308, 7mm-08, or .25-06. At 11 I started with a .243 and quickly moved to a .270. I'd say that was a bit much then, but 5 years, 100lbs, and a muzzleloader later it's almost indistinguishable from a .22, which may be something...

    CO Unit 66. Which season?

Howdy! After much contemplation, I've decided to hunt elk in Colorado unit 66 this year, but I'm undecided on which season I should pick. I have a muzzleloader, rifle, bow, and 4 resident points so I can draw everything except muzzleloader (I still have a 30% chance at that). Does anyone have...

    Round balls in an inline

Exactly. I know people enjoy load development with sabot and conical rounds but perhaps since round balls are a bit different people don't really work on it, just assume it doesn't work.

    Colorado 191 Deer

For those who may be reading this in the future: The hunt is very fun. A lot more work than I thought it would be but I loved every minute save for when my boots tore open right after a snow storm so my feet got wet and proceeded not to see a deer all day. You're going to have to work for it...
