Hello fellow hunters!
I'm headed to Colorado for the first time to hunt mule deer. I drew a tag in 11/211 2nd season and was needing any assistance as to where the best concentration of mule are located. Of course I'm looking for a quality buck, 180"+ if possible.
Any help will be greatly...
We are very picky on how our venison burger is so it is usually very lean and trimmed of any tissue. I will add 15% beef fat and package in 1lb packs. This way we can use as is or add ground pork if you are making meatballs or sausage patties, etc. You can then add as much ground pork as needed...
One recommendation I have is when you are ready to make a tasty meal with you antelope or any venison, is to lay it out your steaks, burger etc. on a paper towel on a tray. Place this in the fridge for 1-2 days allowing the blood to drain off. Change paper towels frequently. You will be amazing...
Welcome abroad! Sounds like you have great all around experience. I'm finally getting around to hunt mule deer in Colorado. I've had great success in MT and SD as well as my home state of ND. Any insight for unit 11/211 would really be appreciated!
Good day from North Dakota! I'm headed down to hunt deer 2nd season (and elk) in 11/211. I would appreciate any tips on quality bucks within the units and any other pointers that may help a first time Colorado hunter.
