Given the time of year, restrictions on movement in general, and the fact that many are thinking about applications/impending draw results, I think any content you could produce about e-scouting and scouting from afar would be appreciated. I know you've done some of this and it has largely...
My dad uses one of those all the time. Agree with all comments here as his experience has been consistent - can't get them all the way filled and certain brands always leak at the valve after filling.
When I bought my Browing A-bolt in .270 I bought a box of 130 grain Remington Core Lokts and took it to the range. Like others have said, they shot a perfectly acceptable group at 100yds. I handload for my rifles, though, so I developed a load using 130gr Accubonds, which I have really liked...
It seems to me that they guy is pretty "sue happy". A quick Google search brings up the fact that he recently sued LANL (former employer). I read the case and what I got out of it was that he feels like he is pretty important and didn't feel like people were listening to him. Another forum I...
Something I think would be cool to see is some content during the offseason helping with RMEF, Mule Deer Foundation, etc. conservation projects. My guess is that there is a good swath of people who don't know what these various groups are doing and another good chunk that would like to be...
I had a fantastic hunt! I saw lots of sheep between a scouting trip and my actual hunt and ended up killing a B&C 182 5/8 ram the second morning (after passing him up on the opening morning). I believe there were only a few larger killed in the state this year. Regardless, I couldn't be more...
I'm guessing he sticks with what he knows. The Nissan wins, UNLESS he gets offered a sweet deal by another manufacturer who wants their truck to see some TV time in Big Fin's videos.
I have a Fullfied II on my Browning A-bolt .270
Don't have any complaints about the scope. I have killed many animals with that setup. The reticle has been nice as well. The drops have been fairly close for my rifle.
Congratulations on a great bull. Thanks for sharing.
Steelhead - New Mexico reserves 84% of tags for residents, 10% for non-residents who have contracted with a guide/outfitter, and a mere 6% for the non-resident DIY guy.
That's what drew me to this forum and community. The folks here seem to be much more about getting out, having a good time and hopefully filling the freezer.
I just watched (again) Randy's mule deer hunt on the Kaibab plateau in Arizona. It reminded me again of how refreshing it is to see a group of hunters who can appreciate hunting for what it is. My hunts are not failures if I don't bring home a trophy set of antlers. The time spent in the...
Where there's a will, there's a way. My dad drew a desert bighorn tag in Nevada a couple of years ago and managed to kill a nice ram opening morning despite being very out of shape and 68 years old. He had lots of help, but it was definitely a hunt for the memory books.
Keep after it!
