Forest fires....how does it affect the hunting

I have watched Elk go in to the burn the day after a fire. I have seen them black as night before.

The power of fire.

I have never seen such iradic fire behavior. I was on this fire till 2:00 AM this morning. Every possible resource was put on it yesterday. The structures lost was assessed today and should be released this evening.

I spend tons of time in both of these units. I understand that 270 wasn't originally a trophy unit but that is what it has become. The state is full of opportunity. 270 is struggling with the trophy deer now. You add another 15 permits and it's gonna hammer the trophy deer. Let's try something...

Good tag, had it last year. Killed a deer 4th day of bow season. Scout your but off and you shouldn't have a problem finding a good deer. Good luck, have fun and don't concentrate on score. Find a deer you like.
