Thanks guys, I was hoping to bring some good seasoned firewood from NC on our trip this year to save at least a little time while in the field. May contact the Forest Service office near our hunt area but I'll just plan on using native wood.
10-19 should work from a 2500. As stated some 1500s are 'classic' and some a new body. 2019 heavy duties are supposedly the same from the cabs back, only difference being hood, fenders, grill, and bumper
I bought a 2019 3500 HO back in December. Absolutely love it. The ride has gotten better with the newer trucks. It's still a one ton but it's not bad at all. I've only owned Dodge Cummins since I was 18 (like 9 of them haha) I believe the 68rfe has also seen updates. Might not be a bad idea...

Definitely drive. I've done it 3 times straight with buddies 28 hours from NC. I did it solo straight through in the summer of 2018. 28 hours straight driving with my wife riding shotgun and my kids in the back. Wouldnt advise that though. I was a zombie when we finally got there😂
What are you guys experience/recommendations with waterproofing spray for boots? Specifically cordura boots and other non leather uppers. Looking at Atsko silicone water guard or something similar.
Also figure out temperatures at which you sight in. I have the same issue. Here in NC it might only be 800 ft above see level and 70F. Where I hunt is 8000 feet but likely much cooler so its basically a wash, at least at the distance I would shoot at game
