Looks like a fun hunt. We've hunted the same tag, also hunt deer there. It was abnormally hot and dry this year. We noticed how little goats we saw on public as well. Great job!
Could be top of lung. I've seen plenty of deer die quickly with little or no blood trail. Lungs could be full of blood yet leave little trace on the ground. Good luck
My little 11 year old daughter killed her first buck yesterday afternoon. Made a 200 yard shot on him! Between her and her brother I might as well leave my gun in the safe😄. So fun watching my kids in the outdoors!
We can most likely all draw deer tags as we have the last few years, so we can all hunt regardless. So true about pulling the trigger only being a small part of the experience. The cow tag is definitely a thought

I went 20x60. It's very clear. I went from a compact gold ring, it's definitely a big step up in clarity but also size and weight. If I did it over again I might go 15-45 to save a little weight/size
