I pulled an archery tag 2nd choice limited permit. I don't believe they changed the number of permits.
While I'm in favor of the change, I'm not sure I personally liked it. I could see doing it every 3-5 years or so. I started a new job so time off was tight. I took a week off and that was my...
It's great! Its my only suppressor not sure I'd ever go back to hunting without one. So nice to not have ringing ears after a shot at an animal and forgetting to put in hearing protection.
Its accurate and I take it on an off every time I pull it in and out of the case and it keeps the same...
I put together my first semi custom rifle this past winter/spring. 7SAUM on a Tikka action, 20" Carbon 6 barrel, Thunderbeast Ultra 7 and a SWFA 3-15. I used 155gr Hammers. No elk for it this year unfortunately.
7SAUM, 155gr Hammer Hunters, N560, ADG brass, CCI 200, 2850fps.
Was hoping to hit 3000fps but hard to argue with accuracy. Only a 3 shot group below but it kept tracking out to 400+.
Been using 4dof and sig rangefinder. The rangefinder has an app that I believe uses AB data. They seem pretty close. I think I'll use the rangefinder during hunting season as I can range something out to 700(much further than I intend to shoot) and get my dope that way.
I'm not a high fence guy, but dang maybe in your case I'd make an exception!
In all seriousness maybe look at doing a guided hunt. You would have a little better chance of filling a tag and also learn quite a bit hunting with someone with more experience.
The first internet forum I joined was a whitewater rafting forum. Redside is a class 4 rapid on the Middle fork of the Salmon and also the first rapid I flipped in.
Agree with the others, load up a batch of the IMR and see if you can repeat the results.
If it follows Hodgdon load data, the IMR might be faster as well. Roughly H4831 at 2850fps and IMR4350 at 2925fps at those charges above.
Finally! Checked my spam folder tonight and found the approval email landed this morning.

I voted 300wsm, but wouldn't mind a 6.5prc either. I went the 20" 7SAUM route.
My friend has a 300WSM Christensen Arms with suppressor. It seems like it has 1/2 the recoil my 300WM has. Very nice to shoot suppressed. Seems like you see a lot of guys putting it in a longer action and throating...
