    Idaho Unit 49 rifle

Congrats. I've killed archery and rifle bulls in 48. Nada this year. More time to hunt bears and ducks 😁

Sow bears and boo boos - let's see them.

Have your fishing guide friend take a really close picture to make it look large.

    2022 California Bear

A handful of screenshots from one of our trail cameras. I believe there are at least three different cinnamon phase bears using that waterhole currently. Interesting to not see many deer or sows with cubs on camera yet. Very little activity at night. A lot of the usage is mid day or in the...

    2022 California Bear

When it's hot out if you find the water, the bears eventually have to come to it. They like something to cool off in. I see some go nocturnal, but a lot of they time they cruise in on a ninety degree day at noon and take a swim.

    2022 California Bear

Is it the hunting pressure or does water dry up?

    2022 California Bear

I've never seen a black phase bear in there. Most are cinnamon and blonde. Used to be more chocolates.

    2022 California Bear

Went on a scouting trip this weekend for bears and deer. Found this sow munching on green manzanita berries when the thunderstorm moved through. Will post some trail camera footage later. Had to freehand video through binoculars, although she came within 80 yards at one point. How's everyone...

    Idaho Draw Results 2022

If Idaho would release the elk/deer draw results, that'd be great.

    Packraft for waterfowling?

All good to know. Appreciate it. I would need to hide the hell of it to use as a layout boat. Was thinking it would be a better way to move around some of the places I hunt that trudging through the mud and burning up my legs.

    Packraft for waterfowling?

I was looking at Alpacka's pack-a-pump but electric would be nice too

    Packraft for waterfowling?

Looks like a great trip! Beautiful drake at the end, although the species name is escaping me right now.

    Packraft for waterfowling?

Thanks! Definitely has me leaning to buying sooner than later. Any accessories you would recommend?

    Packraft for waterfowling?

How does the Forager handle with one person? Looks like some decent room for decoys, although I may tow a sled behind the packraft depending on how much gear I'm taking.

    Packraft for waterfowling?

Has anyone used a packraft (have my eyes on Alpacka Raft) for waterfowl hunting? Will be hunting mostly marsh habitat, but a watercraft may also expand my hunting areas. The transport and portability, vs a kayak, is a big upside for me. I will also use it for hunting (crossing rivers) and...

Would sure make leaving the boat easier.

Kupreanof Island Cast and Blast May 2022

Awesome hunt! I also can't wait to go back. I think a third person in the boat would be a game changer, even if it's someone without a tag. That many more fish to bring home. Congratulations.
