Wyoming archery season vs rifle season

That's a good idea, at least a couple days before rifle try with a bow and if you're not successful within those couple days pull out the rifle

Wyoming archery season vs rifle season

This year will be my third time hunting pronghorn with a rifle in Wyoming. I’m mostly a bowhunter but have no insecurities pulling out a rifle to hunt (especially pronghorn) but I would like try my luck with bow in hand. Is archery season as busy as rifle season on public land? I wouldn’t...

    Tactics for Ground Blind Whitetails

Ground blinds can be great for when you don’t have a tree to hang a stand but man, I try to limit ground blind hunting as much as I can. I just feel like I’m missing deer I can’t see! Also, I feel like I get lackadaisical in a blind. Like I feel like I can get away with more movement and...

Pronghorn hunting and the rabbit "cycle"...

We saw a ton of rabbits when we hunted near Douglas in 2015 and 2016. The land owner said that some years you have to kick them off the picnic table before you can sit down. He said the numbers were down in 15 and 16 so I can't imagine what it's like when the numbers are up!

    Favorite Pronghorn round ?

I agree, I shot my first antelope with a 129 SST with my 6.5 CM and it left a Softball sized hole on the exit. Taxidermist had to do some finagling on that one

    Favorite Pronghorn round ?

Custom 700 in 6.5 Creed for me. It’s hat I use for pretty much everything. I want to build a 22 Creedmoor in the near future. I think it would be a lazer on goats with the heavier offerings.
