    Artificial Intelligence and Public Comment

I have no doubt you are correct. The inherent imbalance between the cost of use and the cost of policing that use now is troubling. It will probably only grow as the program becomes more capable. Are you aware of any current books that examine this issue in depth?

    Artificial Intelligence and Public Comment

I asked a programmer friend about it and he told me there is a feedback option where you can paste in text and ChatGPT will give a percentage chance the text was written by the program. It was apparently used recently to catch university students submitting ChatGPT written papers.

Thanks. That makes sense. I love those little Coues too!

what is the most under loved cut of meat

Any advice on doing this on deer? I find things get pretty messy when I am reaching in trying to separate the diaphragm (skirt) and haul everything out. I haven’t had much success saving that cut on deer. Where I hunt I am never driving them out whole though.

what is the most under loved cut of meat

Flatiron. Most folks braise or grind the front shoulder but if you butterfly the flatiron to remove the tendon running through the middle it makes a phenomenal steak on the grill.

Return Of The Jaguar to Arizona and New Mexico, your thoughts?

I don’t think they are effectively any different from mountain lions in terms of density or habitat use. They would probably end up fighting with lions for space and food. The first time I went Coues hunting I poked my head over an edge and saw a lion stalking up a dry creek bed 200 yds below...

Montana Elk and Deer- By the Numbers

The age old question. Many states have mandatory harvest reporting and it isn’t a big deal. You have to complete a harvest report for the previous year before buying a license in Nevada for example. It takes two minutes. In the eastern US in many states you actually have to check in your animals...

    Holy $#!#, I'm Tired.

Congrats Togie. The circumstances of my first were very similar to yours in every respect, but my second was completely different and much easier. It’s a rollercoaster for sure but every kid is unique. It should start to get easier in the next month or two. Don’t make the mistake of rushing the...

    Asking permission

I spend a fair amount of time asking for permission. I hate doing it but where I live it is necessary to find less pressured areas. Often times I am only looking for permission to cross their property and that is often a much easier sell than asking permission to hunt. I go in the off season on...

Short ish 7m suppressed or something else?

I am new to suppressors but it is strange that one company says go for it with 1/2-28 threads on a 17” barrel and another says you are going to launch the can off the end of the gun with 1/2-28 threads on a 22” barrel.

Short ish 7m suppressed or something else?

I am not claiming to be an expert by any means but I was explicitly told by TBAC not to adapt 1/2-28 threads to 5/8-24. Is there a resource or standard that defines appropriate thread sizes for suppressors or are you relying on general engineering data for thread strength? I understand that...

Short ish 7m suppressed or something else?

Verify with the suppressor company that you intend to buy from if using an adapter is safe. The barrel profile on the T3x probably isn’t thick enough at 20” to cut 5/8-24 threads with an appropriate shoulder. I was told by Thunderbeast that 1/2-28 threads could not safely hold their 30 cal...

    Goose Decoy recommendations? Update

Thought I would circle back to this and post an update for those of you that helped. I ended up getting 8 Avian x top flight honkers because I found a random sale from Dicks Sporting Goods that had them marked down to $149 with free shipping. I thought it was a mistake since they are usually...

Brittney freed for a major Russian arms dealer. I can sleep now

This about sums it up. They are pawns. What she did or didn’t do has little relevance to her arrest. Just like the two Canadians arrested in China shortly after Meng Wenzhou was picked up in Canada. They were hostages used to bargain for her release. I am going with @gouch and @wllm on this...
