    Couple’s getaway ideas

Go to Bozeman. It is an easy 2.5 hr flight from Minneapolis on Delta. Scenery is beautiful, downtown and surrounding area has plenty of small shop options and if you want to do anything outdoors the opportunities are endless nearby. There is a reason folks are flocking there.

    Need some live trap pointers!

220 Conibear… it’s like a mouse trap but bigger. That’s what I would tell my wife. Kills them instantly

    Need some live trap pointers!

If your neighbor’s cat gets in you can just tell your neighbor he probably got eaten by the fox that ate your chickens

    Need some live trap pointers!

What about a 220 box set? Cut it into the coop, bait the back with a chicken carcass and feathers. Make him think he has a way in. That thing definitely isn’t trap shy. You could set it in the evening and pull it in the morning so the kids don’t get into it.

Wait times... need some other perspectives

I have been really happy with the beetles and in my experience it seems to take longer than most folks. The last three I had done took 5-6 months and the one I have going now at a different place will take 8 because he is so busy. Don’t worry

    Seekins Element 7prc

I’ve used the short Pica/Arca rail from Salmon River Solutions on my Element. If you take out the action/barrel you will see a second molded well in the stock for an insert near the in-molded sling swivel insert. I modified a 10-32 stainless insert to fit securely in the well, drilled the stock...

    Custom bolt gun options

Why do you need to build the rifles before you have the order? I think you would be much better off putting together a menu of the components you want to use(and can reliably source), run the numbers, put a price list up in a variety of calibers and see what sells. You might be surprised and...

    Hiking in Zion National Park

The lone time I visited Zion we hiked a great route on the very western side of the park called “the subway”. We hiked in a few miles from the Wildcat canyon trailhead and dropped into the head of the canyon and then walked down the river through the subway and climbed out of the canyon either...

    Home Inspections

You should pick your home inspector, not your realtors recommendation. You don’t want any mixed incentives. A good one will know what to look for and give you a detailed report after the fact. Other than that just know that there are guaranteed to be problems with the house, you just have to...

    Antelope steaks, whats your favorite

Antelope is our family favorite. As long as you take care of it right in the field it is delicious. We treat it just like Whitetail.

    Backpacking tents/sleep systems... thoughts?

Seek outside cimarron with the full nest. You can’t run it as a hot tent with the nest but it is a palace. I’m 6’3”. I think you would still have plenty of room at 6’7”.

    Shooting ball head?

I am considering getting a ball head for shooting off a tripod and looking for some advice. I understand RRS makes the premier option but I think theirs cost more than I want to spend. I was considering the sunwayfoto Xb-38 ($159) or the Slik PBH 45lp ($219). Both have load ratings of 44 lbs. I...
