Small Game Processing Time Question
Squirrels I have gutted in the morning, rinsed in swamp water, and put in a cooler in the evening. Temps were 60s to 70s. Skinned and froze the following day. Never had any spoilage- JTHOMP

Thank you. I’m actually happy with it. Got some gluing to do but not ruined. This is the 3rd head I’ve boiled in 3 years. A pig, deer, and now a gator. Next on the list the bigger gator.- JTHOMP

For peroxide soak I changed the water and filled just enough so the 3 pieces could lay flat. I didn’t have and salon 40 and didn’t feel like going to town so I used a big bottle regular 3% hydrogen peroxide. Let that sit for an hour and a half. Haven’t thought of anything other than just displaying it on the shelf or unused office space. Well pressure washing could’ve gone better. Put 1 one hole in the top of the mouth. Then doing the lower jaw split it in half at the front of the mouth. Hopefully I can glue that back. On the plus side...- JTHOMP

I still have my gator heads in the freezer from last September. Already applied for tags again next season so might and well thaw them out and give it a try. Anybody interested in a eastern bear hunt OTC with deer tags and a turkey tag for under 350 dollars?
Beautiful country. I think a lot of places get over looked by both locals and people looking for a new adventure. Arkansas ain’t bad either. Similar price and opportunity for OTC tags.
