I have a Revolt X that I bought in January of last year. I like it quite a bit. Easy to tune and shoots smooth. I shot it side by side with equivalent Prime, Hoyt and Elite bows. I came from a Mission bow that I shot for 4 years so it was a big step up. The cams are a little fragile in my...
I've been able to get things using alerts on ammoseek......at less than $2/round for decent stuff. I even got some target grade loads for my son to practice with for about $1.25/round. Just gotta keep an eye on your email! Midway has superformance GMX for $3.25/round as I write this.
I've seen sites like you describe on the Front Range before too. I have not been able to determine the age and use either. The first time I found an area like this I was pretty stoked because there were tracks as well as scat but I never did scare up any turkeys there.
It's a crap shoot. I've hunted 70 during 3rd season in a t-shirt and I've hunted in 3 feet of snow. Some morning it's below zero and others it's in the 30s.
From Norwood to Lone Cone is less than an hour. Lots of people hunt the lower slopes of the mountain. Lots of animals get pulled out of...
It's crazy these days......I'm starting to prepare myself for prices to not come down even when supply meets demand. When places can get $2, $3 or $4 a round for ammunition for as long as they have been then why would they drop the price later. I'm starting to see primers once in a while for...
Dogs do best with an 80/20 split of reward vs discipline. At least that's what I've been told by trainers. Seems to work for me when working with my dog. That said, there's no magic. If the dog isn't interested in retrieving then they aren't interested.....that's where forced fetch training...
I bought my 2021 hunting rounds a year ago. 2 boxes of Barnes 30.06. Enough to check zero and have extra for the next couple of years..... it's the 6.5 CM rounds for my 12 year old to practice with this summer so he's ready for his first hunt that I'm struggling to get. Bad year to purchase a...
Heck, sell things for what you want. If someone doesn't like the price they they can shop elsewhere. $50 seems reasonable to me for what you paid + tax + shipping.
Really any stove that uses liquid fuel will be out if there is a fire ban. I can't remember at what level that kicks in but I've been bit by that before for my Coleman white gas stove. Seems like a cannister stove is all you can use in those situations.
Seems like pretty good advice right there. It is hard to beat repetition on a .22LR before mucking with a center fire! Sure wish I'd known to do that when I started.
This is a tough time to buy a rifle in a caliber you don't have ammunition for. That said, make friends with the local gun shop and visit them often. They'll get some in at some point. You just have to be ready to jump when it's available. The other strategy is to buy whatever ammunition you...
I am in search of 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition. My son is old enough for his first Colorado deer hunt in October. I have finally found a rifle for him to use. I figure I can find hunting rounds by October (hopefully) but what I really need is for him to get trigger time at the range between now...
A burr grinder and freshly ground beans are the single thing that make most difference in how your coffee tastes. Hand grinders are a mixed bag. Many of them only have the top or the bottom of the burr full stabilized leading to a wobble as you grind. The better ones have stabilization at the...
I've gone so far down that rabbit hole. Fun journey. I'd like to start roasting my own but seeing as there are so many great local roasters in my area the variety is pretty good. I can only drink decaf anymore but there's still lots to explore. I've gone the route of french press (Frieling)...
