Forgot to add that I bake all our bread and grind my own flour. That has paid off in spades over the years. It costs me about a dollar to make our two weekly loaves. At around 50 cents a pound for wheat berries compared to upwards of $2 a pound for flour the cost of the grinder was paid off...
I don't think I can stretch my pantry any more than I have. Learned early on when my wife started her first graduate degree that we either learn some tricks or starve. I have always bought whole chickens, watched the meat counter for sales and stocked the freezer when the price came down...
Looking for advice. I have a 45 ACP (Tanfoglio EAA Witness) that has a muzzle compensator on it. I find myself now living in an area that doesn't allow that (threaded barrel). No comment or discussion on that part of things. It is what it is. What I'm trying to figure out is should I get...
2 120 qt coleman extreme marine coolers. Work just fine as long as you tarp them because the lid design is rounded and they will wick water in if it rains.
1 - Ability to carry the weight
2 - Ability to be small for day hunting and big for multi-day
3 - Load shelf
4 - Frame + bag weight around 5-6 lbs
if I could add a 5th it would have something to do with price!
If your route goes through Newberg have dinner at Rosmarino (https://www.osteriarosmarino.com/). It's on the list of my top 5 Italian restaurants ever (and I think it's on some national lists of best restaurants as well). Oh, and the air and space museum in McMinnville is worth it if you like...
Archer error was my first thought which is why I kept re-doing it. I kept thinking there's no way this is possible. I'll have to have someone come with me and see if they can see what I'm messing up because I seem to be able to repeat it awfully well. Go figure. Looks like I'll erase the...
Quick question for those of you shooting a single pin adjustable sight. I have an older CBE Tek Hybrid Pro that came on a used bow I bought a year or so ago. I didn't use it because the screws holding the sight tape on were rounded out so the allen key just spun in the heads. PITA. I finally...
The definition of "gun culture" is probably as vague as 2A. Not trying to pick a fight but our leaders back in the day didn't exactly leave us with a whole lot of detail or definitions.
Just as there is an ask to define "gun culture" one could also ask for many of the terms in 2A to be defined...
This has been an enlightening conversation so thanks for that. In the past I have just paper tuned in my basement and then adjusted my sight to match where my broadheads hit. I've never worried about my field points. I thought by using bare shaft tuning I would be headed in a better direction...
I have a question about bare shaft tuning. I have, in the past, only paper tuned but as I learn more I am moving to give bare shaft tuning a try. I have two sets of arrows. The one set are Gold Tip Hunters HX shafts in 340 spine built with 50 gr of weight added and Q2i Fusion X Vanes, 3...
GSP.....well, because my wife's cousin breeds them and he offered me a pup at half price. I was going to get a Brittany until that offer came up and I simply couldn't refuse. She's a great dog.
