Sure be nice if they put the same amount of insulation in the lower back of the Kelvin Lite Down Jacket as the rest of the back. My lower back is always cold in that jacket when the temps drop below freezing. That's the biggest disappointment I have with that jacket and the one that will...

I'm sure there are books too but most any dehydrator...
I've probably spent too much time thinking this through in the off season. I limit myself to 250 yards in perfect conditions/situation/animal. Under 200 is pretty comfortable but if the conditions suck or I can't get a good relaxed shooting position then 150 is the limit. I shot a buck at...
It's been an odd year in CO. I was finding elk at 7,000 feet during second season and normally don't see them in those spots until much much layer. Others that I talked to said much the same.
After watching the video I sure hope I would be able to hit the targets every time. That said, I don't have a place to practice at those ranges so I have no idea. I did place a nice shot on a mule deer last week at just shy of 200 yards so maybe I'd be ok.
Curious. I used OnX on my Pixel 3 the last week of September bow hunting. Ran it on airplane mode with extreme battery saver on and it worked fine. That said....I think I got an update after I got back so maybe it was the last update?
I never let on where I'm going to be....hunting or not. When I take time off I'm off. I turn off any and all notifications on my phone for my work accounts. Simple as that. We have a coordinated email box that we use for my team's incoming work/communication so I direct folks there. I don't...
Two headlamps. One stays in my cargo pocket of my pants. The other is in the bag of backup stuff in my pack with spare batteries and a small mobile power bank that's good for two or three re-charges for the cell phone or inReach. I also keep a caylume light stick in my kill kit. I've no use...
Can you all give some more information on what it is about the Savage trigger that is objectionable? I have a 110 Hunter in 6.5CM that I rather like the trigger on but my only comparison is my mid-90's Remington 700 30-06 which I've been told doesn't have a very nice feeling trigger.
I bought a 1970 IH Scout in 1986 for $500. Lots of fun in that truck. It had a custom .45 ACP drain in the floor to let the water out after creek crossings. The keys wouldn't stay in the ignition switch so when off road you had to remember to put them in your pocket or you couldn't turn the...
Fish stock is great for lots of stuff. When I make shrimp risotto I peel the shrimp, bundle the shells in some cheese cloth and add that to the broth I have simmering. Adds some great flavor. Lots of Asian noodle dishes are great with fish stock.
Absolutely. I think it saves a ton of money in the long run. I save every bone, meat scrap, onion skin, garlic peel, carrot peels, parsley stems, etc. and make broth on a regular basis. Basically my routine is to spool all the vegetable trimmings into a bag in the freezer and then when I make...
Selling my RevoltX. I don't shoot it as well as my shorter bow and I would really like to upgrade my optics before fall. 70# draw weight (60# minimum), right handed. Draw length is adjustable without mods. It is in like new condition. Has been to the range but not hunted. I have around 100...
