    Spring bears

Not a lot of people spring bait around here simply because of the snow pack. Many areas still have snow until June/ July and seasons over by mid June. Most every zone have a sow mortality rate for spring and for fall. Once met the seasons over in that zone. Some zones a season can last a week is...

    Spring bears

A brown bear would be a dream come true for me. Just can’t afford the high guide fees.

Mtn lion regs-is there info in one place?

WY allows hounds. I hate cats so kill’m all. Here’s a link to the cat regs and such. Just scroll down until you see the cat info. https://wgfd.wyo.gov/regulations

    Spring bears

Good luck. I wished the snow would stick around (except on the roads) but this warm front moving in will melt a lot of it off in a hurry.

Leavin Idaho for the great state of Wyoming!

I just hope to live that long. Will be plenty of other FNGs falling in line soon enough.

Leavin Idaho for the great state of Wyoming!

Welcome. We are about to hit the 2 year mark here in Rawlins. Best retirement decision I ever made was moving to WY.

    WY Pronghorn help

Goat tags will be down across the board this year. WGFD just announced they reduced the quotas.

    Spring bears

Who’s gonna be chasing and or baiting spring baits? Good luck to you if you are. Snow in my area is still up to 3’ deep on the gravel roads with up to 15’ snow drifts blocking the main paved road in. It was an 18 mile ATV ride one way for me just to get 1 bait in this week. I still love spring...

    Severe Winter Kill for Wyoming

I call BS. I’m sure in some areas the storm a few weeks ago was bad for wildlife, but over all this was a very mild winter for snow and extended periods of extreme cold temps. This time last year around here I saw dozens and dozens of dead antelope along the roads. Many buried in snow plow...

I hope the cake didn't get ruined.... And wash that car

It’s like trying to rub a cats belly. It’s a game of Russian roulette. My daughters 2 cats are sisters but polar opposites. One loves her belly rubbed and the other will shred your arm. I hate cats!!

    Trail Camera Missing

I’ve had hunters mess with my cameras over my bear baits. Even caught a bear poacher lasted year on one. I do use metal security boxes on them. I also use 5-4” heavy thread masonry screws to hold the boxes onto the tree. Just 2 screws can hold my 200# weight up when standing on top of it. I...

What did you, or are you still hoping to draw? I’m stoked!

WY has reduced it overall antelope tag numbers in every zone for this fall. Even as a resident it could be tough pickings for many areas.

Should have thrown it, drew his gun and popped it before it hit the ground. They are lucky it didn’t end much worse for them.

You now have to turn 12 by the end of the calendar year in order to hunt.

What did you, or are you still hoping to draw? I’m stoked!

Well here’s what we will end up with should we draw out (some are already in hand and other are guaranteed already) Wife and I-antelope (100% will be given landowner tag for VET hunt), either sex elk. Our 2 boys-antelope. Youngest boy and me-mule deer youngest boy 100%. Oldest boy-either sex...

    Start Spreading the News...!

That’s great news. 12 is about the norm for most states. Here in WY we just lowered ours this year as well.

WOW!!! Is All I Can Say

Being lucky to only live a 45 minute drive from the Miracle Mile here in WY. I love it when my kids hook up on a good one and that part of the River certainly has them. Teaching catch and release allows fish like that to live and grow and provide for a trophy fishery. Congrats to the angler of a...

Hunting season preparations, what did you do today?

Made a 14 mile ATV ride to check bear bait access. Still not road passable for a couple more weeks due to snow drifts. Started popping popcorn and mixing my topper recipe up. Did some TLC work to the mountain bikes as well. It’s been a busy 4 days off for me.

Welcome from Rawlins. You’re in a great waterfowl area. Up north of you is some of the best Waterfowl in the entire state.
