Well this isn't fun 🤣
Rifle - has to be my Savage 110 in 300WSM, big enough for everything, even though it hurts a little my 270 has killed a lot more game
Shotgun - my only one is my 870 express and has never failed me so I'll just stick with it
Pistol - Sig 365 I love it, best handgun I've...
That one response was to respond to another persons comment but it didn't quote them for some reason, I do appreciate everyone's comments and advice, no hard feelings.
I actually quoted 3 different manufacturers published load data. All 3 are very different and barnes data is a lot higher than the rest. After I pulled my initial loads and loaded to the minimum Data published by nosler for their 180gr e-tip I came here to talk about it and get some advice.
Hey man I appreciate that, I will definitely be watching for pressure signs. I wonder if the formula for 100v has changed since barnes published that data
Yeah I wish the sample packs were a little bigger submoashooting. com is where I got them. I figured I'd load up a 6 shot ladder then I'd have 6 bullets left to either push hotter or see what group I get
I loaded to the Barnes recommendation of 2.86 which for my rifle is .087 jump. I only have 12 bullets to work with. I started at 62.2 and went up .4 gr to 64.2.
So bought a sample pack of the 175gr LRX for my 300WSM. Went to the Barnes load data they have on their website. For the H100V powder they show 62gr all the way to 68.8. At 66.8 gr which is where I started, should have started lower I know but I'm already compressed and at 62.2 gr which is where...
I personally have never killed game with the fusion but my dad did for a decade in a 300WM with great experience I have killed deer with the interlock in 270 win, worked great, the interlock happens to be a favorite in my hunting crowd mostly in 308 win.
Appreciate it, I almost picked up a 243 win for my son but it was still a bit big for him to shoot comfortably, even in a compact. So I still have plenty of time.
I do reload, I appreciate the feedback. From what I've heard in the past don't know for sure but velocity plays a big role in stability. More speed requires less twist.
