Awhile back I heard bad things about the eld-x how they lacked penetration, but recently I've only seen positives I might try them along with the accubonds

How do you determine which primer to use large rifle or magnum? Thinking about getting into reloading this year or next

Speed vs bloodshot

The only time I've seen blood shot meat coming from a 270 is when I hit the opposite shoulder on the pass through. Hornady interlock going probably 2800 to 2900 fps

Yeah my hunting spot i have this coming season has 300 yd shots but even then out of 6.5 and 270 almost any good bullet will work. Probably going to try some accubonds and see how they group for me.

From what I seen on Hornadys website the ELD-X is a match style bullet with the interlock technology

I have a buddy who shoots the 143 gr ELD-X with great accuracy they haven't shot a deer with it yet though.

Yeah I've heard great things about accubond but I haven't seen any mention of swift bullets here or any other conversations. Anybody have any experience with them?

That's why I'm going to use it again this season, I've always gone for lung shots with hornady interlocks did the same with the hornady gmx. Deer died all the same but the internal damage didn't look as big as the interlock

I don't mind lead bullets but I definitely prefer high weight retention and staying together is a must.

Yeah I live on the East coast, a lot of close shots and it just zipped right through, I'm going to try the gmx again this season cause I have half a box left but will be switching.

Hello all, I am trying to find a nice bullet for my 6.5 Creedmoor I shot a deer with the hornady superformance with 120 gr GMX and was not impressed. Right now I'm looking at federal fusion, or swift scirroco, i have used hornady interlock with great success in 270 win. Any ideas and why...
