People see what they want to see. 100K people can peacefully protest for a righteous cause, and some (like Fox "news") will focus on the 100 who act like fools because it suits their narrative.

Where to buy stainless Howa 1500?

No, I didn't order it. I'm waiting for confirmation that a Walnut Hunter stainless steel rifle actually exists in the U.S.

Where to buy stainless Howa 1500?

Looking to add a stainless .308 barreled action to my collection. I've never seen a stainless barreled action on Brownells, but I do see some of the Walnut Hunters come in stainless (6.5 CM and .308). Does anyone know of a reputable dealer who has them in stock?

    3rd Rifle Colorado

They certainly are that. I've seen elk at 11K feet and an hour later at 6K feet, several times now. I'm not convinced elevation matters that much to elk so long as they have food and a safety zone.

    3rd Rifle Colorado

That's what all the locals were telling us 2 years ago, but it isn't at all what we observed. Within 24 hrs of that 10" snowfall (at 9K, it was more at 11K), there were herds showing up in the oak brush and sage that weren't there the day before. And they stayed for a few days, and then they...

    3rd Rifle Colorado

Elk can move up and down a mountain in a few hours. They respond to weather much faster than we do. Two years ago, the CO 1st rifle season had a very rare 10" snowfall a couple days before season started. We saw herds move down to around 6k feet for 3-4 days. After that, the sun had melted...

Texas moves to a cubed loyalty point system

I welcome the change since maybe I'll finally get drawn after accumulating over 27 points in the past 8 years and not getting drawn for a single hunt in all that time.

Ever lost confidence in a rifle?

I think the Cabelas Gun Library and used racks everywhere are full of rifles that guys lost confidence in. That's what always makes me leery about buying used rifles. People don't usually sell great shooters.

    Anybody homebrew??

It's the cheapest way I know to drink GOOD beer, which is what makes it worth the trouble to me. :D I've tried and tried to find an inexpensive beer that I enjoy drinking, but now that I know what good beer tastes like (and doesn't tear me up like cheap beer does) there is no going back for me.

    Anybody homebrew??

Just started when we were on lockdown. Figured it would be a good distraction and I've always wanted to learn anyway. Brewed 2 batches so far. Must have been okay because I now know how fast I can go through 8 6-packs of beer. LOL
