Can you out live point creep?

No one lives forever, no one. But with advances in modern science and my high level income, it's not crazy to think I can live to be 245, maybe 300. Heck, I just read in the newspaper that they put a pig heart in some guy from Russia. Do you know what that means? ---Ricky Bobby

Do we need more primitive hunts?

There are a lot of people out there that would agree with you. I think it just compounds the pressure on animals to have longer primitive seasons than how long they already are. Maybe some states could pull it off but a lot of western states are hunting critters from August through December and...

    Horseback Hunting??

I remember being a kid maybe 10 or 12 and a family friend, Gene, killed a bull in the afternoon. Gutted it and split the shoulders and hips to cool it off and drove home to pick up his horse and mules. He showed back up to camp really early in the morning, I dont think sleep was involved that...

Daines, Newhouse, and other R Senators with some bold words regarding public lands

The multiple use doctrine is used by land management agencies, particularly the BLM, as a scapegoat to allow proponents the ability to do whatever they want on public lands. The hide behind it rather than sometimes telling them, "No." The "streamlining" is detrimental to wildlife and their...

    Gary Paulsen Passed Away

Hatchet was the start of my book reading enjoyment. I actually wrote a letter to Gary Paulsen and got a response! Albeit from his wife on his behalf, but it came with a picture of him with his dogs autographed. It was the coolest thing I can remember about elementary school!. They don't make...

    Homemade smokers

I remember being about 5 years old, my granddad smoked a pheasant in an old 1950s era refrigerator that my uncle shot full of holes to let the smoke out. Best pheasant I have ever tasted.

    NV First come

Because the site would crash and still piss people off. I think it is giving a ton of people the opportunity to hunt on potentially amazing tags.

    This is problematic

I have a lot of friends and family that hunt over bait and I would be pissed if this is the impetus to lose baiting privileges. I apologize if this is a repeat post but it came across my news feed and figured I would spread the word...

    Pan Fried Taters

My friend and I spent a fall semester in California where we played football. Being somewhat homesick and in the middle of hunting season back home (Idaho), we figured we needed a camp meal. So we did the best a couple of recent 18 year olds could do and made some hamburgers and sliced some...

    The stand at paxton county.

I think in general, conservation easements are good things but when they blatantly say that they are doing it to cripple the owners it should illegal. Not to mention it gives every other legitimate agency that would like to purchase easements are terrible rep.

The Bureau of Land Management wants to go back to the Dust Bowl era

It's hard to have any credibility in an article when the author quotes people from Western Watersheds . With that said, hopefully there is more a balance that is struck in the up upcoming meetings to guide future policy. I feel confident that the Nevada Department of Wildife will have players...
