Thankfully it wasn't me, but a buddy and I went deer hunting and right out of the truck it is a serious elevation gain and a real quad burner. We walk in the dark for about an hour and get to our vantage point a few minutes before it gets light and got settled in with the spotter and binos to...
I'm using a Proof Research Glacier TI in 300 Win Mag shooting Federal Terminal Ascent 180 grain bullets.
For factory ammo, I am super impressed with it, shoots damn good.
Some nice rifles, Gents.
My 10 month old lab, Finley is showing a lot of promise. Not sure how many birds we've killed together this fall but it's been a ton of fun. Went a few years without a dog and I really missed hunting with one. Can't wait to see what the next few years will bring, he's off to a really good...
Here's a third recommendation for Yukkutz.
I hunted with them last January and they were great. And have a helluva Lodge to boot.
And TONS of Ocellated turkeys, I shot two.
PM me if you have any questions.
Keep up the updates, very interesting as I'm a month and half behind you with my yellow male pup.
We have had some up's and down's with the training but I always try to remind myself he's just a pup and most of his faults are likely due to his two legged companion.

You're not going to get any help from me....

I have three, the 340, 590 and 700.
If you have plenty of room and you aren't trying to save a few bucks I'd got with the 700 for sure just for the ability to do large batches.
I make a lot of summer sausage and it would be a pain in the rear on the two smaller ones and also for large briskets...
Well I'm sure your goat season wasn't how you envisioned but a helluva good job sticking with it and coming out the other end with one heckuva billy!
Congrats on a beautiful, hard-earned goat. (y)
Great write-up on a well-earned bull, Luke.
You certainly put in the time and effort and it paid off.
Congrats and thanks for keeping me in the loop during the season. I was cheering for you!
Chris P.
Well @Greenhorn you suck!!! :)
That is an incredible trio of Montana's finest and doubt anyone can match that. Or if so, very, very few. Congrats man.
I've been putting in for MSG every year in Montana for 39 years and have a grand total of 1 goat tag drawn when I was 14. So I suck at...
