I have a tag for a unit with a fair amount of WIHA. What do the ranchers prefer we do with carcasses upon harvest? Drag them to a low spot? I looked through the regs and didn’t really find anything. If it were my property, I’d probably prefer they’re hauled to a ditch or something...
We have rabbits, but definitely not an “abundance” here in Oklahoma (at least my area). Definitely don’t want my kids thinking it’s a “gimme” without a little bit of walking, but want some good fun action too. Thanks for the tips- I’ll do some checking!
Side note- I probably should do some...
I talk to a couple of the biologists in the Cody region and they said this is probably the worst they’ve seen it (at least in that area). One said about 3 years ago was the best he’s seen it.
Still open to suggestions if anyone knows of a dense population. I would love to get my 3 and 5 year...
Glad to see a local did something like this. The day before the draw, I was checking up on my submissions (way too late to even change anything) and noticed the doe unit I applied in cut their tags way back this year. 🤦🏻♂️ Needless to say, I didn’t draw any doe tags...
I finally drew my first pronghorn tag this year for a unit in the Cody region. The plan is to haul the camper and the whole family (wife and 3 kids all ages 5, 3, 2) up and spend some time exploring the West. I really want to get the two older boys out and hinting some rabbits (not necessarily...
Just saw the part regarding composite materials. The one I built was PT lumber, so definitely expect composites prices to be higher. I would agree, $30-$40 per square foot would be a good ballpark figure.
I did one last summer about 3’ high for about $25/square foot (materials and labor) including railing. If you’ve got a lot of elevation to deal with, expect the price to go up. The range in prices is very common- some people work for next to nothing....I would rather work for someone else than...
What a dream! I would be terrified of the whole guiding experience with that kind of money. I “guided” for one spring turkey season and didn’t want any more of that because of some of the stuff I saw from the outfitter and some of his “guides.”
Anybody know if there is an age requirement for youth hunting small game in Wyoming? I see they have to be 12 to hunt big game, but wondering if a 5 year old can legally hunt rabbits in Wyoming next Fall.
