    Bourbon Connoisseurs

Which one you like the best? I bought a bottle Bullet Single Barrel (store exclusive) a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. Tastes a lot like Four Roses, in fact it may be Four Roses since they use to distill for Bullet.

    Bourbon Connoisseurs

Guess I’m the odd man out here. I’ve been sipping a bottle of Woodford Double Oaked for a few weeks now and it’s just ok to me. I much prefer Blantons, Bullet, or Buffalo Trace. I usually enjoy my bourbon neat.

    Binos vs. Riflescope

It’s going to depend on your hunting style, range, and etc. Someone like me hunting from a stationary stand in thick timber is going to have a different answer than someone spending hours behind glass searching large areas at long range. Binoculars are nice for watching game but certainly not...

    How tight a group?

Sounds like my dad. He was recently observing me sight in a new scope and I had close after a few shots then started shooting groups with different ammo. After about dozen shots or so he asked, "What does ammo for that rifle cost?" I replied, "Well it's a 280AI and hard to find so right now it's...

    Treestands and Harnesses

I ended up buying a wingman and I like it so far. Jumped off a ladder a few times with it and it works great.

    Driveway Buck?

Guess it just depends on what you're looking for. I hunt mostly to be out there. In fact I dread everything that comes after the shot but if I'm looking for meat, makes me no difference. I've shot several off the back porch and can't tell any difference in how they taste.

Checked off a box on the ol bucket list! PADI open water certified!

I dove off the North Shore of Oahu 15 years ago or so in/through some lava tubes. It was like a cave dive but dumped us out over a deep drop off. I went with a couple military guys that were stationed there at the time. It was neat but the diving in Maui and Kona was much better back then...

    Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x 44 vs VX-5HD 3-15x 56 in Low Light

That’s true only to a degree, as I understand it. The human eye’s pupil is 7mm at most and it generally gets smaller as we age. So as long as the scope’s exit pupil is at least as large as your eye’s pupil, your eye is taking in as much light as possible through the scope. Objective size /...

    Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x 44 vs VX-5HD 3-15x 56 in Low Light

Surprising results. Shouldn't they be the exact same at 5x? 56 / 5 = 11.2 exit pupil; 44 / 5 = 8.8, both of which are larger than the human eye's entrance pupil. Perhaps the glass in the your sample of the 56 is a bit better than your 44. Don't know.
