Wow, haven't finished the podcast yet but it's even more heated than described.
First off, MR makes some great arguments. But his points are undercut by his self righteous, dogmatic, belligerent tone. I used to think Steve was kind of a jerk at times, but he's a soyboy compared to his brother...
Yeah I'm still debating the bergara vs tikka vs weatherby. I have a tikka and I like it but it's almost too light. Feel like a heavier rifle would be better for LR shooting (although I think the veil and roughtech in magnum calibres are around 7 lbs). The weatherby is nice but I hate the way the...
Are u using the muzzle brake on the tikka? I've gone back and forth on a brake due to the necessity of ear protection. But next gun will probably 7mm rem mag so might need the brake. Maybe not?
I'm not really frustrated that she was hired despite her past. Not nearly as important as the policies she supports now. Hopefully she'll do a good job.
I am frustrated that the standards of behavior for what gets u hired/fired seem arbitrary and selectively enforced.
I'll certainly take a look at it next time I'm buying a truck. Just wish the dimensions or the half tons weren't so out of control. For example, the newer trucks (crew cab short bed) range from 228.1-232.9" length and 80-82.1" wide with bed lengths 66-69.6". By contrast a 2004 F150 was 224" long...
Found a few teal and Canada geese. Passed on many ducks since we had way more big ducks than I was expecting and I'm not great at ID. Found a couple new spots which was even more important.
Really like the motion ducks system. I ended up putting some extra swivels on it so I have 10 decoys...
I bought some for my 20ga and have a few thoughts:
Since the bismuth is more dense than steel (but obvi not lead or tungsten) you can use smaller pellets so more pellets/shell. So pellet count was comparable or better with #5 bismuth 20ga vs 3.5" 12ga #2 steel with comparable penetration based...
YMMV, but I haven't had that issue. I've hiked/hunted in mine a lot including climbing through deadfall. But doesn't hurt to tug on them a little in the store to test.
Those walmart wrangler pants are awesome but they recently changed the shape of the back pockets and I'm not as bout them as I used to be. Do those cosco pants have cargo pockets @MTLabrador ?
I have some plythal and skre stuff that's okay. Not too expensive. The fit of skre pants is...polarizing.
Yeah, spinners are frustrating. By January the birds have seen them so many times they have figured out the game. I'm trying to think of a way to hide mine a bit so the birds just get a little flash but not that obvious stationary look they normally get. And I think they flare birds even when...
Really excited about the motion ducks system. I attached a few extra so will have 10 decoys moving. Since I usually have small spreads I'll have 1/3-half of my spread moving.
Recent DU podcast said mallards, gaddies, and BWT would likely be most affected by the drought. Said birds that nest in boreal Alaska and Canada may do really well this year (GWT, wigeon, ringnecks, etc.). Also said prairie breeders may just overfly the prairie into the boreal but may not breed...
Reading through the violations, I would imagine that sort of thing happens frequently. Social media is just too enticing for people and they can't help but expose their own criminality.
