    "Greenwashing at it's best"

I'm not an environmentalist but I'd really like to see some regulation on plastic and Styrofoam. Both need to be curtailed in their usage, especially when it comes to packaging. I'm amazed sometimes at the packaging used for crap on Amazon to make the product look and feel more premium than it...

    I’m in a pickle…

Filling out the form is a really nice thing for a landowner to do. And it helps simplify things for the hunter, game wardens, and the landowner. We have a version in my state as well. Actually, you are required to have written proof of permission unless it is a close relative (yet almost nobody...

    I’m in a pickle…

Old permission is the worst. Somebody gets permission one time 20 years ago and they still hunting it like it is their own. Tend to get really mad when u take away their access. Goose hunters also do this thing where they get permission by themselves then bring like 15 guys. My FIL realized what...

Task force $1,950 NR elk tag

Yeah, if it weren't for Newberg, Rinella, and onx I'd probably just be hunting a handful of family spots and never venturing even onto my own state's public land, let alone going west. So obviously I've been a big beneficiary up to this point where there is now too much demand. Such is life. I...

Task force $1,950 NR elk tag

Why not $3k? Or offer 1000 tags at auction and require a guide or something?

    Fixed Broadhead Or Mechanical

Grant Woods did some experiments focused on whitetails ducking the string and showed that u really shouldn't shoot at them over 35 yards. Within that range I think a lot of the heavy arrow, cut on contact, single bevel, fixed blade stuff is moot. Plus if using a 400 grain setup u can probably...

    Mojo placement in spread

Have u had good luck with the flickers? I've wanted to try them but reviews kept saying they don't work for very long. I like the small size and randomness unlike a mojo just sitting there (spinning or not).

Dont worry about the student loan forgiveness

https://inflamedcynic.substack.com/p/on-student-loan-relief Be interested to see what u think of that perspective. I might argue that SALT caps (which increase taxes on the rich) aren't the moral equivalent of a $10k redistribution to a statistically higher income earning class. But I see wut...

Dont worry about the student loan forgiveness

I don't watch tucker or Bill (bill still on TV?) but I probably am a little "too online". Still, the stuff I've seen from the colleges and unis I attended plus the ones I'm affiliated with now is enough to tell me it isn't mere "nut picking". But probably depends on what an individual thinks is...

Dont worry about the student loan forgiveness

Have EU colleges and unis seen a 50% increase in the number of salaried college administrators? Honest question. I do agree with ur point about streamlining medical education which ties into elite overproduction... Lessening the burden of college expenses on students would be a noble goal if it...

Dont worry about the student loan forgiveness

Yeah, anyone would be stupid to refuse a no strings attached handout when offered. Doesn't mean the handout is a good thing. I didnt hand back my stimmie check even though i thought it was a bad idea at the time. "Don't hate the playa, hate the game."

Dont worry about the student loan forgiveness

I don't disagree, but millions of 18 year old children (because our culture keeps people children until at least 25 yo) were sold a bill of goods and lied to by adults they trusted, "Don't worry about the debt, you'll make more money, follow your dreams". I'm sympathetic to their being scammed...

Dont worry about the student loan forgiveness

This is actually brilliant. Basically a stimulus check but only goes to libs' most loyal ally: college educated apparatchiks. And TBH nobody should be surprised or angered by this since they literally campaigned on this issue! "Oh should we do the morally dubious thing we promised to do if we...

    Mojo placement in spread

OTOH, I've never removed the spinner and had a sudden improvement in ducks finishing. So I'm not sure I totally buy the concept of ducks flaring off them. Seems like hide and "being on the X" is just too big of an overriding issue. But early season and early morning do seem to be the best times...

    Mojo placement in spread

Conventional wisdom is that ducks wont fly over a spinner, so place just upwind of the edge of your landing zone. Given how far north u are a spinner should work better than it does down south. Also BWT loooove spinners, seem to land right on them.

    Wyoming Corner Crossing Defense Fund

Didn't read whole thread. But I imagine part of this is somebody told this guy he would get more bang for the buck by buying checkerboard and getting exclusive access to federal land. He sees that plan slipping away and is pissed about it. I can understand wanting to test the legality in court...

    Mule Deer Population trends

Idk looked pretty gloomy to me! The Oregon and Wyoming data are scary and you're talking about a loss of 350k from those 2 states alone. And I haven't really looked into it but there seems to be agreement that the mid-late 1900s mule deer hunting was easy and there were giant bucks everywhere...

    Duck survey numbers!!

https://www.ducks.org/conservation/waterfowl-surveys/2022/duck-numbers Considering the drought last year nothing too surprising except maybe GWT numbers since the theory was they would fly to the wetter boreal and be fine. Also BWT numbers good. Says that pond numbers are up so should be higher...

Exactly. Some things are just too important to let go.
