My initial interpretation of the wording was that you couldn't miss applying 2 years in a row, so at least apply every other year. Sure enough though, I applied in 2021 and was unsuccessful, did not apply in 2022 and lost my single preference point.
It seems like it would have been a whole lot...
My pronghorn tags were delivered today after all. I still can't believe how good Wyoming was to me this year, 6 tags and only had to burn points for one of them.
Living a rural lifestyle, there are times you really do need a truck. A lot of folks I know have an old beater pickup for chores, and drive something more efficient for a daily commuter.
I would say here in Indiana, there are just about as many deer hunters as the state can support. Most tracts are small, 20 - 40 acres, and those with owners who allow hunting probably have 2 - 3 people hunting them.
A lot of the public land (not all) is on a draw to limit the number of hunters...
I'm pretty tickled with this truck. Government auction, $4k. 2014 4x4, hemi, vinyl seats and floor. It's got the cam/lifter noise, but after I get that fixed up it'll be a nice ride.
@WVgoodguy22. Sell the Savage and use your proceeds to go hunting this year with your 270. Solves both of your current problems.
I don't want any excuses or emojis.
@Cornell Cowboy
It sounds like this happens quite often. Have you ever successfully prosecuted someone for trespassing on the portion that passes through public land?
I've done the Fiesta thing before, rented. I also have a truck that gets about 12 MPG, I will not be driving that one.
Point is, it still sucks but a more efficient ride lessens the pain, and I can skate by a little cheaper than most of the other rigs I see heading west on the highways each fall.
