"Pendley previously supported the sale of public lands, but after he was appointed to head the BLM he said he disavowed his past views. "
Wow, thanks, I feel so much better now
Yea this stuff is fascinating, a little depressing too

No, this is just completely false, and shows a lack of knowledge. If you look at research about how adverse experiences in ones youth hinders the development of the brain, you would see that "the chances can be whenever someone wants it bad enough" is a complete BS statement
Thank you. Yea, the campsites along the creek is where we go, strikes a balance between being undeveloped, yet still vehicle accessible so the girls can easily do the "touristy stuff". We are aware of the bears, seems everyone we run into has seen them in that area, but we haven't yet
Forgot...
Okay, so we are likely going to be camping and fishing in the Taylor Fork area in August. I've been there 3 times before, but it has been a few years. For anyone that lives in the area, how are the crowds? I know in northern Wisconsin it is nuts because so many events, festivals, etc have been...
Removing statues is just an absolute pathetic, instant gratification, do nothing response. Neither side wants to come together and solves problems. Conservatives, liberals, just want to pander to their bases. This is just getting so old
It is busy when I've seen the Madison. I'm not that great at fly fishing and seeing all those folks kinda intimidated me. I've been in that area of MT a handful of times and, other than the Gallatin, we never fished a "big name" river and yet we caught all kinds of big trout
Yea, you are basically proving the point. The kids didn't make any of those choices, and are no faced with obstacles that are too much to overcome. Also, you should probably look into research regarding "adverse childhood experiences" and how it impacts the brain. Pretty sound science. The life...
Well said Randy, the community I live in is likely very similar to the one you grew up in. So many kids with such tremendous challenges, many cases just too much to overcome. It has nothing to do with "choices" they made
I think next step is the Senate to vote on the bill........I don't think there are any more procedural hurdles.
Not sure where the House is with this, much of the info I see is "contact your Senators." Is it assumed that this is going to pass the House?
You can check how your senator voted here: https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=116&session=2&vote=00118
I see that I will be thanking Tammy Baldwin and will have to be a nuisance (a polite one though!) to Ron Johnson
On social media I've seen that the Great American Outdoors Act needs to clear another procedural hurdle, needing 60 votes to pass this evening. Be sure to contact your Senators....took me 5 minutes. Hopefully this passes, if you research your county, I think many would be surprised on what it...
I was pleasantly surprised that it was 1 hour 30 minutes as I thought it would be 30 min. tops. The depth and storytelling was phenomenal. I watched it twice. Hal Herring was the right guy to feature, no doubt about it. Hal truly does "live the life", love that he still doesn't have a...
