    Osso Buc0

Looks great. I slow cook most of my shanks as well. I did the Oso Buco once and it had quite a bit of gelatin which got me some complaints from the family. I'll have to try it again.

Non-resident outfitter license (MT) Bill is up for hearing 2/2/2021 (SB 143)

It wouldn't be what I consider American and I wouldnt want the help. Having the government tip the scales for industries is not good.

Non-resident outfitter license (MT) Bill is up for hearing 2/2/2021 (SB 143)

As a contractor/builder I can say the certainty of what and when I build, while it may not be on a lottery, it is very much dependent on permitting. To me the equivalent of what your group is asking would be for local municipalities to start issuing permits to licensed contractors at a faster...

CA to allow 100% online hunter ed. No classroom attendance required.

My 11 year old daughter completed hers last month and it went well. She's not missing out by not having a field day but I can see how someone without a good mentor could benefit from a field day.

    No Masks....Would you?

This sums up how I feel. I've been very diligent about mask wearing, mostly to do my part in keeping cases down so my kids could go back to school. Our cases have plummeted and people can make their own choices at this point. I suspect we're months away from no masks in here in CA.

    First gun

We had a bolt action scatter shot 22 that was the first gun I shot. An uncle let me use a Winchester Model 12 20ga for a couple of years. I bought a short Remington 6mm bolt action when I was 11 with paper route money.

Help me with tools for processing birds (shears? scissors?)

I need to get a good one for the house. We always had them at our old duck club. Very handy.

Help me with tools for processing birds (shears? scissors?)

I use snips for dove and ducks. I leave the legs on most ducks. I've got an old pair of Kershaw snips that work great. I've also processed a lot of ducks with a heavy meat cleaver.

    Shotgun recommendations

Montefeltro is a great gun. I shoot a Super 90 because I prefer the way it comes up but I know a few guys that shoot the Montefeltro and they've been happy.

    Colorado mule deer

I've been happy with this book. It's got some late season info. Having hunted that general area of Colorado quite a bit I've found the availability of acorns in the oakbrush makes a difference on how they move down the mountain. They seem to move through the mid elevations faster when the...

    Drought Conditions

That's interesting. That refuge has been in bad shape for a while now with all the different water users getting first crack. The Klamath River Salmon population is still crashing so they will be wanting as much water as possible going down the river. They lost 60,000 ducks to botulism last...

    "Free" Hunting Fool with OnX

The call list worked great for me once in 2008. I tried it again a few years later and it is more like you describe and I ended my subscription. It's great to get good information but bad information can cost some valuable days in the field if your not careful. I think there's going to be a lot...

Does anyone know if I can buy a license for my 11 year old daughter and apply for hunts that occur after her birthday in November? If not I will give them a call, I couldn't find it in the book.

New home - What would you do?

I'm a builder that specializes in this type of house and I couldn't agree more. I would add some type of balanced ventilation, heat recovery ventilator or energy recovery ventilator depending on where you live. We built a few years ago and especially with the fire seasons the way they are now...
