RIP. He was great to watch. I remember him fighting Hearns (I believe the second time), four rounds of non-stop action until Hagler finished off. Fun fight to watch.
The lack of moisture in the hills here in the bay area is tough to see. The ponds are at levels you would see pre-winter in dry years. The ground was so dry by the time we got the little rain we've had that everything is getting absorbed.
Agreed on the website. Quick and I really like how you have two opportunities to clearly see what you put in for after you fill it out. Also in for Pauns. Hoping to draw a general deer tag.
I have a Kifaru Duplex frame with a nomad pack now. I've had this for 7 years and it's been great especially for day drips thru one-two night spike hunts. I'm going to either get a new Kifaru bag for this year or look at Stone Glacier/Exo packs. The great thing about packs is all of the...
Not quite what you're doing but here's the floating blind we built last year. $2,200 sounds like a lot for lumber on the two blinds you're describing but it is expensive right now. What on the list is driving the price up? We used to build two man blinds out of lumber and fiberglass them...
I would think it will come down some once things get back to normal. It may not happen until money gets more expensive to borrow and the housing market slows down.
I hope you're right. We hunt 2nd season elsewhere that has just recently bumped to a 2 point draw. We're hoping it only goes up 1 this year but I don't know. The 3rd season took 9 last year.
Tough times. I've been there before and currently have a 14+ year old chocolate that could go anytime. They surprise you sometimes though. I had the appointment to put her down a year ago tomorrow because she hadn't moved for a few days, other than me carrying her out and back to go to the...
Great story. Thanks for sharing. That last picture is awesome. I've hunted ducks here in CA my whole life and I've always wanted to hunt them somewhere with that kind of scenery. Nice to know some of the swans we see end up your way and on a strap. It would be nice if they let us shoot a swan...
What's left of the salmon would agree with you. The water leaving the delta has increased quite a bit since that book was written and almonds started taking over as the crop of choice in a large portion of the valley.
