Do you have a preference as it pertains to light color when walking in the woods in the dark to get to your tree stand? I see that headlamps are available in RGB colors as well as white. best deer hunting cartridge
I have 3 different "deer" rifles; 30-06, 45-70, and .44 Mag. Depending on where I'm hunting will decide which rifle I use. If I'm shooting beyond 200 yards, it's the 30-06. Out to 150 yards it's the 30-06 or the 45-70, and out to 100 yards it's any of the three. Hunting from a stand on... -

They are quite nasty animals. That Nat Geo article above was an amazing read. My wife videoed three of them on our lake on the shore. When one of them yawned, they showed the mouth of a German Shepherd.- A207X2

Are solid copper bullets considered to be FMJ for hunting purposes?
Those are nearly twice the price I paid for the Fort Scott ammunition. I paid $1.83/round for the Fort Scott ammo, and have a very good supply of it.- A207X2

Yes, I agree - which is what had me worried about using them. Not sure if the TUI is real or if it's just marketing. I understand that they keep a lot of the bullet mass intact, which IMHO should greatly aid in a double-lung impact. I'll try them out this fall. I'm also a big fan of Buffalo...- A207X2

UPDATE: I spoke with a conservation officer in KY on the phone, and he admitted he was stumped regarding the question. I sent him the manufacturers information (links) and he got back with me: "I’m not a gun expert but I would say those are fine to hunt with." So at least I've got it in...- A207X2

Lab With Fragile Toe Nails
Had a border collie who had a similar problem. Vet told us to clip them frequently - even though they didn’t really grow. He said to trim them anyways as that will help them to grow. It will also move back the quick by frequently clipping them. Took awhile but it worked.- A207X2
