    Scope for T/C Compass .270

    Academy had these for $274.99 with a $75 rebate from Thompson Center Arms. I felt of one and really liked it so I got one. It came with scope mounts. After some deliberating, I went with the Nikon Prostaff 5, 3.5-14x40 SF Mattte BDC. What rings would be best for this setup?

    The outfitter tole me to pack just two sets of clothing. We were up 10,000 ft then got snow. First Lite merino wool was the ticket for first layer. As others have recommended, layer. Puffy vest for outer layer.

    I've read about a 120 qt Coleman 6 Day Extreme being all you need. At $60 bucks you can buy a lot of ice with left over money. I'll be getting one.
