$321 for me lol. I have a BC/BS Bronze plan with a fair sized deductible, becuase the only time I typically see my doc is for an annual checkup and bloodwork. Guess my lower level Bronze plan doesn't cover EPIs. But, peace of mind as you said.
OK guys, a few items left. I’d really like these to find a new home, they have made my camps much more comfortable! Dropping the price on the remaining items:
Cabela’s XPG Expedition 4-season 4-person tent ($75)
Luxurylite Ultralite Cot – once you use one, you’ll never leave home without it...
Sorry, the bear fence is spoken for. The items that remain are:
Cabela’s XPG Expedition 4-season 4-person tent ($150)
Camp Trails Moose Pack II Pack Frame and Bag ($75)
Luxurylite Ultralite Cot ($100)
Wiggy’s Ultima Thule Mummy Sleeping Bag (rated to -20 degrees F) ($100)

Flyout AK caribou hunt Aug 31 - Sep 5 with my best friend and his son, who just graduated high school this year. A graduation present for him, and probably my last remote AK hunt.
Wow - I would have bet those two pictures were not the same person. Glad you re back to normal.
And thanks to this thread, I am planning to add one epi pen to our first aid kit for our remote AK caribou hunt in September. Benadryl is already in the kit, will make sure we have enough for 3 guys.
Just curious if he showed you how he ran the numbers on taking SS...I ran my own numbers based on taking at 62, and taking at 67 (full SS age for me). The larger amount (taking at 67) didn't surpass the lower amount (taking at 62) until I was halfway through my 78th year, so I will start taking...
That's great planning on your part, saving more is better than less. As for living on way less than I made during my peak earning years, here's how I am doing it (just one guy's story, we all have variations on the theme) -
For about 20 years before I retired, I contributed the max each year...
I should have added that I wasn't depriving myself of much while I was saving all of this. During the last 15 -18 years of my career I did 12-14 remote Alaska hunts via bushplane, played golf every weekend, and fished whenever i wanted to. One year the company I was working for went under, and...
I think those models assume that you're burning most of that peak year income every year that you're earning it. For about the last 10-15 years before I retired at 58, I was maxing out my 401k contributions, and still saving a good chunk of money in addition to that. I've been retired about...
Someone asked for pics if I had them, apologies for the delayed response. The in-house pics are from May of this year, when I went up to stage my gear for this fall's hunt. They show the Camp Trails Pack and the Stove (in the box). The sleeping bags are loosely packed in the large stuff...
This ad is intended for Anchorage, Alaska (or surrounding area) hunters/campers at this time -
I have some gear in storage in Anchorage, that I will likely be selling after my caribou hunt this fall. All of the gear is in good to very good shape, having only been used for a remote moose or...
Yea this was hunting the Mulchatna herd, which really took a dive in the early 2000s and is still trying to slowly creep back...gonna be a while before this area is a destination for nonres hunters.
I didn’t post this in the Classifieds because this ad is only intended for Anchorage (or surrounding area) hunters/campers at this time…

Yea, that Flip Ammo guy offers 338Win at outrageous prices. Can't believe he's selling the old Winchester Super X stuff for so high, that bullet was around in the 70s. I'd buy another gun before I paid those prices.
Factory 338 WinMag ammo with top tier hunting bullets (Swift A Frame, Nosler Partition) has been really hard to come by for a couple of years now. Ammoseek on occasion has some lesser bullet types for high prices, but not the types that I like to hunt with.
