Watched that happen 20 years ago. Guy next to me pulled trigger on a pump gun and brought his gun back down. Went off as he was pulling it down. Shot tree limbs off out in front of his face- 338win

Quarters
Had a game bag rip out the bottom and quarters fell into western dirt. My plan is to let them hang and get a crust then trim all the crud off at once. Anyone got any hacks to get the junk off the meat?- 338win

Hammer Bullets - what makes them so great?
Was the whole shoulder scrapped or did you still get meat off of it? With heavier Barnes I generally only lose a few inches around the hole.- 338win

Since this thread is already spicy I’m gonna derail with a question. I am used to Barnes ttsx and lrx. 145 7mm, 190 lrx 30 cal, and 225 338. Never have had a lot of meat damage or “explosive“ results. Almost always bullet dia entry and silver dollar exit I am thinking about getting hammers for...- 338win

Talley lightweights
I did not lap. First update. Talley gave me a higher than published torque to try. I am going to put on new torque/alignment stripe with the increased setting and see if it holds. -

You can’t rotate it by hand at torque. scope rotated about 1/16 of an inch with proper ring torque and about 30 rounds and normal handling. I took the brake off for my next range session to eliminate a variable. I’m going to email Talley. Not sure how to tell if the internals are working unless... -

Had/have inconsistent accuracy with my ca ridgeline. Never could keep consistent sub moa and I was always tinkering with an adjustment here or there . Attributed it to a lack of ability to do a load development with component shortages and lack of time. Have a hunt in a few months so I pulled... -
Post Tourniquet application questions.
Make sure you “preflight” the CAT and have it situated where you can deploy it with one hand as necessary. A CAT and some combat gauze on hand is great insurance.- 338win
