    Long shot wishing elk 0 point reg random in a decent unit. Been holding deer points so this fall is primarily focused on a lower end deer unit and cow elk combo. I pray that plan gets blown up when AK draws come out but not gonna hold my breath.

    How many miles?

    About 4 miles a day if it’s “easy”walking. Shot one this year 700 yards from the camp and truck. My buddy shot one 2 miles straight line from the truck. He likes to walk and I like to glass and wait. I don’t think I want to pack one more than 2 miles.

    They were going to take a bow during gun a few years ago and I talked them into taking my rifle instead. The person is 100% on deer with a rifle. A rifle with low powered scope should the the weapon of choice for the majority of the population.

    What a fu$&ing douche. I ranged an opening down a valley at 1100 yards a few weeks ago on an elk hunt. I thought how would you even find that spot after shooting an elk in it? I wonder how many these dipshits hit and never find.
