I have warne Tikka dovetail rings on my Tikka. No complaints from me, very strong rings. I've heard of ring marks from warne rings but I've never had issues. I've had warne rings on 3 different 4 different scope/gun combos and no problems. Are you set on the rail? Since you're using a 0 moa...
I had one on my Tikka until I put a new barrel on it and had it threaded. The brake worked really well, I only changed because of looks and a little more weight.
Yeah yeah, I threw on what I had from the old rifle that had that scope on it. 🙂 I could drop to a medium but that puts the bolt real close to the scope. I have a fat head so it should work okay. I'll get the itch for a new scope before long anyway.
Thought I would give the group an update on this project. I installed the barrel last week. Shout out to @p_ham for the 4d rental recommendation on gauges. I fit the stock for the barrel nut and bedded the recoil lug. I'm going to shoot it as is this year, then after hunting season it will...
Yes 16 is more. I've always wanted a 16 as well, my dad has one I shoot occasionally. But for a new shotgun, a 3" 20 gauge matches the 16 ballistically with far better ammo availability. From a practical standpoint the 20 is better. Not saying you shouldn't do the 16, I do like them, just be...
I had cycling issues with my Benelli sbe years ago. It would hang up ejecting the shell and fail to feed the next. I fought through it for about 4 years, then I had enough one day and called them. Told them I couldn't find my receipt to prove the 5 year warranty, they told me don't worry...
There is a series on Netflix that lays out a similar narrative for how autocrats come to power. I think it's called The Tyrants Playbook, or something similar. Offer simple solutions to complex problems by using a scapegoat, and you are the only one able to conquer said scapegoat, building...
If you want an autoloader, why stop with the monte, might as well go benelli super sport. I'm not even sure they build them anymore, I wanted one for a long time. I already have a super black eagle, so pretty hard to justify.
This thread seems like a fitting time to share my health journey over the last 6 years. In my younger years, I was a 6'3" 275 lb defensive lineman and was a really active guy with sports, lifting, working construction, hunting, etc. After college was over I spent a few years working active...
Might be worth trying some HIIT workouts. Les Mills online has a brutal HIIT program, they also have a high rep, low weight program that has helped my endurance hunting in the mountains.
I hear Vida's population has exploded from 3 to 4 people, might be worth a look.
For real, Lewistown and Glasgow are at the top of my list, definitely not my wife's though. Glasgow doesn't fit your criteria anyway though. I also like Augusta and choteau a lot, might fit the bill.
I also have the Kodiak and have used mine down to -20 F with high winds, but not 50 mph. It has always done well. Same as others, I use a big buddy and 20 lb bottle outside. I agree with @Addicting it will be small with 4 guys. I use my 10x14 with 2 guys with big cots and it is perfect...
Yeah, I think I'm going to pattern some varmint and target bullets in the standard case and see if I can find an accurate load. If that goes exceptionally well, I might hold off on the hydraulic die for a while anyway. We'll see how it goes, if component availability isn't any better by this...
