I'd go with the Glock 20 over the wheel gun simply because of the weight savings with the polymer framed pistol. Although they do make some as light revolver's, I'm just not as good shooting them as I am the Glocks.
I've done the same thing and held out for a bigger deer every year. The problem is, last year I shot one that was 175" so I might not shoot one the rest of my life if I hold out for a bigger one.

I try and shoot at least three times a week. One thing I do that most guys don’t is only shoot two arrows at a time. Most will shoot a half dozen or even more before walking up and pulling them from the target. I’ve found that I can shoot longer and I’m more focused if I only shoot a few at a time.
