Montana Black Gold 3 pin whitetail slider. 20, 30, and 40 yard pins. marks out to 110 yards but only for target practice. Won't shoot at a live animal past 50 yards though.
If you don’t want to spend the money on a new Revolt then you might be able to find a Realm or a Realm X used for about half the cost. Some guys like the Realm better than the Revolt with the main difference being the Revolt has the Cam lock which is very nice but not needed.
I use a 3 pin MBG...
You will be blown away by stepping up to a current model bow from your 10 year old model. They are much quieter, lighter, and much more efficient.
The manufacturers haven’t made any giant leaps the last few years and have not made small improvements but in ten years things have improved...
My team Syracuse changed their name from the Orangemen to the Orange with the input from Nike in 2004. Just more of the whole PC culture that we have to deal with nowadays. Another reason that you’ll never see me in anything Nike.
We had bacon wrapped venison tenderloin on the Rec Tec tonight.
used a dry honey bbq rub and used apple pellets at 375 for about 30 minutes until it got to 145 then tented it for 30 minutes before slicing. Came out perfect.
I feel your pain as I’m wrong handed like you are. I typically have to test drive most bows right handed before deciding on one or not. Not a perfect scenario but I’ve learned to deal with it.
Shoot as many different brands and models as you can before deciding. Way too many good bows out there now to stay with one manufacturer IMO.
PSE Evo NXT 33, Prime Black 3, Bowtech Revolt, and Hoyt RX-4 Ultra are some I would shoot first before deciding on anything.
Hopefully I can get my K9 line set here next week after our late season archery and front loader season closes. Should be a good year as the ground isn’t froze yet. I have much better success before the ground freezes as I struggle with my footholds freezing.
Great Kansas buck. Congratulations.
I didn’t take my usual trip out to Kansas this fall because of two little ones at home but hopefully I’ll be going out next year again.
What part of the state you hunting in?
Congratulations on passing your exam!
I can still remember the amount of relief I felt when I passed the final of three Land Surveying exams needed. Definitely a ton of weight lifted off your shoulders. Now that you have something to put at the end of your name you’ll have a lot of different...
Awesome stuff! I have the same addiction as you.
I used to paper tune like you do but now I simply bareshaft tune and found that’s all that‘s needed.
IMO the stiffer spine of the arrow the better.
I’m a Professional Land Surveyor and partner/owner of a small engineering and land surveying firm.
Better half is a DVM/Veterinarian and is a partner/owner of a rural vet clinic.
Sounds fancy, but in other words, more money, more problems.
Husqvarna 435 is what I use. Not too big and heavy of a saw for limbing and trimming, and not too small for larger felling jobs. Can run up to a 20” bar if need be.
