I agree w the separate forum. To me hounds are hounds. Bird Dogs n such ain’t hounds.
Some guys are sensitive. If the guy has a good dog the only thing that’ll bother him is you beating him.
That’s a pretty good point longbow51 and def a fact
Yesterday was tough. Everywhere we went guys were out. We found some rabbits but it was super thick and they never gave the kids good shots. Was good to hunt w them. Had my boys son w us as well.
My daughters are home from college this week. We’ll be following some rabbit hounds tomo. I was laying items out checking guns. Need refinishing but lots memories in these.
Browning 525 28ga, Beretta Silver Pigeon 686 28ga, part of a 20/28 ga set, Beretta 685 20ga. If guns could talk
Sometimes a quiver has nuts/bolts holding the rubber. If you tighten them that flattens the rubber making the hole smaller as well.
If it’s a small amount you need this may or may not work.
I’ve been through the gamut, had lots of stubby dogs. Had one Mr Bill bitch at under 2 took 2nd in the state championships one year. She was nice but about that time I got divorced and had to get rid of her. Had 14 dogs and they all went but 1. No fun watching them leave.
One of my club guys...
I didn’t go real far back but I haven’t seen much about it. I run dogs year round multiple times a week but only when the main deer season is over do I hunt them. Getting ready to start. I run line control medium speed dogs. Similar to the older spo type dogs. Got two Paul’s Old Stage Jr...
The modern compound is made to be shot w releases. That’s a fact. You should try the longest bow possible. I bet that’s not an option as you won’t switch.
There are lots of things that could cause your issue. I agree it could be some torque. It could also be your release or hold. No one can...
I bet anyone with any experience at all, even some listening to others have heard how rain washes scent away. It’s been said a lot. Enough it prob should be true, but is it?
Fellas dogs aren’t deer so it’s not an exact comparison but I’m pretty sure they smell in a similar manner. Hounds run in...
Christmas is coming and with it thoughts of buying first bows and guns actually for a child. We need to start them right and make things easy as possible given the day and age. I’m not condoning anything super easy I’m referring to using the correct eye, bows should never be assumed they should...
So I decided I wanted a short bow for stand hunting once in a while. Bought a 70s I believe KMag. Great shape. 52” at 50lbs. It’s marked 52lbs under rest.
Put a nocking point on it, changed the silencers and went out to my deck with 3 arrows. I dropped one so never got to shoot it, anyhow...
I’m from NJ. Sorry ladies. I agree with the showing how. Mentoring is exactly that, showing someone how to do it themselves.
After hunter ed, I also teach archery but we invite the students, some classes all women to instruct. After certified the senior instructors try to show a little more of...
Ladies I hope it’s ok I post anything here and I’m not out of line stepping into your area.
I was wondering or perhaps suggesting, my state has a pretty successful women in the outdoors program. They host duck hunts, turkey hunts, deer hunts. Canoe, hike adventures. Oftentimes some of the...
A release on a recurve really isn’t right. Commonly you cant the bow as the window is built differently. I’ve never tried it do it’s only a guess but you’d be torqueing your wrist.
My first thought was tell ya to drink milk brother! Just kidding, were you shooting a super short bow? A super...
Brother I know this is an old thread but God almighty people think you need crazy weight. Dr Ashby did a good thing but at the same time imo he way confused people. I’ve over hundred deer with 100-125 grains. Similar weight bow. The arrow didn’t even attempt to stay in the deer. I...
