I’ve got a Ruger m77 scout in .243 with the leupold 2.5 scope on the barrel.
Thought I would use it for still hunting on the ground for eastern whitetails and hogs. End up using the 12 gauge for whitetails more and don’t really mess with hogs.
It’s a handy little gun, I think the barrel is 16”...
I’m in. I used to dream of being an elk hunter. I’ve killed 3 bulls now in four years, solo, diy. Now I have another dream. Moose. Idaho and in the Colorado drawing with a few weighted points….hoping to get lucky with the paperwork.
I feel sure the ones I was seeing climb back into Wyoming pretty soon. Then they probably stay gone till after ski season. I can only imagine what it’s like when it’s busy!

So I’ve got a question about the Wilderness law in Wyoming regarding non-residents, does anyone one here know of people who have been prosecuted under this law and if so what was the penalty?
