Fouling shot.

My muzzleloader never goes hunting without a fouling shot or two. My accuracy is peak at shots 2 through 8 ish… then it begins to degrade. Mostly shoot 777.

Can’t afford to shoot too much TSS at paper. Licenses and gas cost too much. Did plenty of paper shooting a couple of years ago. If the sub gauges fail me I’ll put them back on the shelf. I was gifted a pile of 3 1/2” 12 ga lead a year ago from a buddy who’s Dad who...
I own several. I would buy another if I needed one. I am proud to support an American company.
I’ve had a bad experience with Zeiss. I had a cheap bushnell on the first rifle I owned. I’ve got a redfield on my .22 mag Savage. My lever action Browning .22 wears a leupold. As does my Ruger...
…and don’t forget the stoic good looks!
I’ve sure enjoyed this thread!
I feel blessed to have spent some of my life with a couple of great dogs…labs.
My wife says we’re not getting another one. I told her one day I will get another one even if it means I have to get another wife!
Joking...
I caught my first coyote a couple of days ago!! Nice male, nice fur. Nutria meat bait, four coiled Bridger 1.75.
I’m a relatively novice trapper, I’ve mostly been water trapping until this year.
I’ve been doing my part on the nest predators and the invasive nutria as well.
I saw this one the other day on the ‘gram…
Three shots at that range in 12 seconds… that’s fanning the hammer!
And guess who was #1 comment?
Yeah.
Agreeing with Buzz in post 16 above.
My 2 cents worth look at parker productions if you have to shoot bore size(Colorado etc.).
I don’t think you have to shoot bore size in New Mexico(I think you can use a sabot)… you can probably extend your effective range with a slightly lighter bullet/sabot combo…
parker has some good sabot...
Great little dogs…
I have a friend who’s on his second one. Super birdy and high energy level.
In my opinion, considering where you live, I’d be a little hesitant….just not a very cold tolerant dog.
