Elk with shotgun?
Daughter has a late season tag for a cow. Tons of elk are showing up outside of town on small ranchettes and neighborhood. Houses are very close and I don’t feel comfortable enough to let her use high powered rifle. Would a shotgun slug work in this situation? Felt like if I told landowners...- Lab

Hunting a Wildfire Burn Area
We hunted an area that burned that season. The road opened the same weekend as the season. There were elk, moose, and deer in there and we saw them every day. The next season there were more elk, moose and deer. We had no problems locating game. -
Deer hunting with Randy....
Upland game oh man love it. I hunt out in eastern Colorado for pheasants a deer. You can kill your limit on both in short order. Especially whitetails.- Lab

Colorado Elk Help
Weather Just up there for 1st. Opener was great weather- colder, snow from 10-6pm. Then it got warmer and warmer. It was 66 degrees on Tuesdat at 9k feet up. It most of the snow was gone except very high. Animals got very quiet and were not moving much. Even with no moon they were still... -

New burn area- Elk were thick in it. They acted like it was still a thick forest walking around in plain sight. -

Move to Colorado???
I second this! I grew up here in Loveland Fort Collins and I could never afford to live here if we hadn't been here forever. You'll find condos and patio homes for your price range but not single family homes. Not even in a 20 mile radius. Average price just went to above 400k and those are...- Lab
