That's right I'm doing my best to get the word out to as many nonres as I can possibly can across the US! I'm pretty sure it's working. At least nonres that enjoy hunting on their own won't be shocked if this comes up on the legislature. Hopefully enough nonres will voice their opinions that...
The last time I checked increasing draw odds would mean that a hunter has a better chance to draw tags! Isn't this what Wyo res are asking for?
This won't happen with 90/10 since only 0 to 2 tags would be shifted to Wyo res in premium units and their draw odds won't improve. There are WAY...
Wyo res biggest complaint is they can't draw high demand limited tags! Some res may not like the idea of a waiting period because they wouldn't be able to draw limited in units that have great draw odds every year and they would have to sit out several years once they draw liminted tags.
One...
I agree with Bayou. What will the WY outfitters and landowners ask for in return for backing 90/10 for residents? Obviously the Big 5 are first, then deer, elk, and antelope next. I wonder if it's set aside outfitter and landowner tags next? Where does the madness stop? I have a feeling it...
Buzz 0 on both accounts! You know nothing about me! Now tell us how many big game tags you have this year! I bet you are a little embarrassed to share this?
I remember a few years ago on this website that you were doing everything in your power to back and support DIY nonres hunters in the...
Here's the link for nonres to submit comments. Make sure to post them before the July 6 deadline! The more that share comments the more attention nonres will get! Even if you write a few sentences it will help!

I'm not a fan of the WYOGA...they have their own agenda which usually is not good for the DIY/OYO hunter! According to those that attended the first Task Force meeting the WYOGA is in favor of 90/10 for the big 5 species. Does that raise any red flags in the Wyo wind? Why would they shoot...
If you are a concerned nonres and have years of applications and $ invested into the Wyo pref pt system....especially for the Big 5 species you can submit comments directly to the Task Force for the July 8th meeting. You must do this by 5:00 pm on July 6th!
90:10 would cut nonres limited tags...
The truth is, Wyo res may want to watch their backs!
How many landowners and outfitter backed members are on the Task Force? There is always the chance they try to capitalize on tags and steal more tags away from residents than Wyo res would gain from 90/10? There are only a handful of...
I agree 100% with Oak's post above in regard to deep concern over "landowner tags or outfitter set asides might be on the table. That is a deal with the devil that would be a non-starter with me."
What are the outfitter's true motives for being in favor of 90/10 for Big 5 tags? It obviously...
If 1/2 of the limited tags are taken from nonres that is a heck of a lot of revenue that the WG&F "banks on" every year! It's really nothing more than a gamble that this revenue loss will be made up for by selling nonres left over and doe tags. If it takes twice as long for nonres to draw tags...
Something else possibly not mentioned in any posts above is that 90/10 means that limited nonres deer, elk, and antelope tags will be cut in 1/2. That means that it will take twice as long to draw tags and nonres will be faced with paying high pref pt fees for more years before tags are drawn...

Here's an interesting read! There's a lot more that's going on behind closed doors than some think! If anyone remembers what happened to nonres tags in New Mexico a few years back...
If you have cheatgrass in critical mule deer habitat and winter range I have just the answer that land managers and biologists need to start using! There is a relatively new herbicide called Rejuvra that controls cheatgrass for the life of the seed in the soil (3 to 5+) years. The response of...
Snow was deep with extremely cold temps along the Rawlins-I80 corridor. Antelope generally move to areas without much snow but if there is deep, crusty snow for extended areas or they get trapped they often don't make it.
Hi,
I noticed you possibly drew a 90 Wyo deer tag a few years back. I drew this year and have been out scouting once. I was wondering if you are willing to share info about your hunt? Hopefully you had a great time and got a nice buck!
