Same here Lyfter - even prior to the draw my account had previous applications but nothing for points. When I spoke with AZGFD about this they could see my points (including HE), but it just didn’t show up on the portal. Hang in there fellas!- Orion’s Breath

Binocular to tripod adopter
I’m a big fan of the Leica Stabilite - it’s universal and super quick to deploy anything on, even a spotter or rifle in a pinch. It’s a tad pricey at ~$100 but I’ve been really impressed by it so far. Dead stable, and you can deploy it with mittens on as there’re no screws etc to fiddle with...- Orion’s Breath

Any thoughts on CO 1st Rifle Elk?
Definitely depends on where you’re hunting, and stay mobile, like if an areas crawling head elsewhere. I’d also add that if you can afford it, have a look at GMUs with cow tags that are ‘List B’ - these are generally units with populations over target. Maybe pick one of those up for the same...- Orion’s Breath

6.5 Creedmoor vs 7mm-08 vs 270
I’ve yet to recover a single one of the 130g TTSX in .270 from two elk and a pronghorn - they’ve sailed right through, with good immediate effects. Not sure I’d risk a frontal shot, but it’s done fine by me so far! Recovered a bit of the blue tip on the last elk while processing the shoulder:- Orion’s Breath

Definitely all good suggestions here - we really enjoy hunting the 1st Rifle, especially as you can often draw as a 2nd choice and still build a preference point that year.- Orion’s Breath
