Stupidest thing you've done reloading
I was doing load development for a 270 win and a 30-06. I just got done loading imr 4350 and was loading up some H4831sc. Kimber rifles and full bedding
Thought I would post my findings with the 2 Kimber rifles. I sanded out the bedding on both of them. The Montana 270win is now shooting the 140gr Hornady btsp with 53.5 gr of hunter back to where it was just over 1 1/8 4 shot group. And after messing around I only had 2 rounds of 130 gr ttsx... -

Thanks good information. I think I will just sand out the full length bedding on the 8400 and put a pressure point on the Montana just to see before sanding that back out. -

NOSLER wants to see your success
People that are looking for Nosler bullets try Pro Shooters supply. They have a lot of Nosler bullets. Bought 200 165gr LRAB's for my 1:8 270 wsm they were cosmetic blemishes. Paid $48 for a bag of 100. Maybe I should not have told this and I can't buy anymore. Oh well- Buckbrush

I do a 3 shot string maybe 1 min apart. Then let the barrel cool all the way down for my next group. On the 8400 I wanted to shoot 2 rounds and let it cool for 5 min and shoot the 3rd to see if it still went out from barrel heat. Love patrick McManus. He also did a couple of Bo Tully sheriff novels. I was very said to see him replaced by Bill Heavey in the back of outdoor life. But he is still a funny guy and fun to read. Big shoes to fill when your replacing McManus.- Buckbrush

Magpro 300 WM
Wow. I've had that happen with ramshot powder. Hunter and Big game. They really don't show much signs of pressure until it's way over pressure. I think I had my 270 win at 3400 fps with hunter and hard bolt lifts. Didn't even hit the paper at 100 yrds. But wow velocity was way up their.- Buckbrush

The gun cabinet of regrets,,, wish I sold or wish I didn't buy it

Magpro 300 WM
I like magpro for my 270wsm. Haven't done any testing with the 300 win or my 270 win. I've had great results with H4831 in my 300 win and 200gr bullets also like H1000 in 300 win. I don't hunt with my 300 just because it's over 8 pounds. Mostly my long range rig Weatherby vanguard 2 Picked it up...- Buckbrush
