I won't use it in my muzzy at all. It shoots sabots, legal in ut. Had to use brake cleaner to get it all out of the bore before it would start putting good groups with the sabots. Don't use bore butter with sabots. They make the bore to slick and the plastic won't grip the rifling. Took me quite a while to figure out why my gun was spraying bullets everywhere. Love bore butter fore everything else.- Buckbrush

I would take the savage 99. My dad always loaned me his savage 99 in .308 so I have a soft spot for them. And it's a little bit different and a little bit faster on the follow up shot. Not to many people hunting with them here in Utah that I see. Good luck only hunted MI once for white tail... -

30-06 Ammo Setup for Elk
Only took 1 cow elk with the federal fusion. It was the cheapest 270wsm ammo they had. That was 2007 or around their. Very effective in that instance. I think they call it fusion because it's a bonded bullet not cup and core. Could be wrong but I wouldn't worry about using it again and wish they...- Buckbrush

The screw heads look to good. The guy that sold it I think replaced the screws but don't know for sure. They were all very easy to come out so I think he at least took it apart. After thinking about it I'm wondering if he did not put the patina on it. It just looks to even. He was a gunsmith... -

Stupidest thing you've done reloading
It works . About 70% of the imr 4350 falls thru and 5% gets stuck in the screen but none of the H4831sc goes thru. I scooped out most of the H4831sc and had about 1/2 lb I screened out and left the rest alone. Mabey a few grains of mixed in 7 lbs. Don't seem to hurt my loads any but I'm not...- Buckbrush

Good looking gun. Bought a x-bolt in maple and rose wood with a octagon barrel chambered in 30-06. The only thing I don't like is the machine pressed checkering and the removable mag. But they are sweet shooters and easy on the peeper's. Injoy it. -

That all depends on what time has done to it. And what the skill used to restore. If everybody's hated gunsmith bubba gets a hold of it then yes I agree. But go look at some restorations done by reputable gun smiths. Absolutely stunning. -

Kimber rifles and full bedding
I think a lot of it is same with mine is just barrel heat. Two touching and the third out. And it depends on the loads as well one load will print three shots evenly in a horizontal string 3/8" apart. The other load will put 2 touching then the next two high and right about a 1 1/4" how or why... -
