Don't give up! I have a friend who (many years ago) hunted a ton throughout most of the season not having seen a bull on property he could access. Then, Thanksgiving weekend he found a herd of elk and shot a 390" 6x6 on public land.

Dakota Taxidermy is located in Bismarck. I've seen some of their big game work and it's good.
Wet and Wild Taxidermy in New Salem has done several mounts for friends of mine. Dusty's work on waterfowl and upland birds is pretty impressive.

Well said and I agree. Those of us that already have the fire in our souls will keep the spirit alive. However the initial spark (for me) probably would not have been intense enough to create a fire had it not been for my experiences hunting.
I was born and raised in R7. It's common to see bucks that have shed one or both sheaths before the season closes. Some years it's more prevalent than others.
I'm waiting on a paper form submitted near the end of April 2021 and two e-forms that were submitted at the end of January 2022. I'm expecting them all to be approved relatively soon but I'm also not holding my breath.
I agree that the "management" has been terrible for far too long and the race to the bottom has been put into overdrive the last couple years.
My question is whether or not the biologists are the ones coming up with the "management plan" or simply parroting what they are told to say.

My father in law had one. A fire started under the hood while he was driving on the interstate. Apparently Chrysler had issued a recall for the EGR due to it causing engine fires. Chrysler bought the pickup from him and while he replaced the burned pickup with another Ram, he chose a gas engine...
